    I got a upper inlet and exhaust gaskets from eBay and I have to say I was pretty chuffed with the quality. Although mines not going to be a daily sow asnt the end of the world if they weren't. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    A new dmv should be good for 100k they reckon so should be fine. Weird about the SMF conversions I just googled it and a couple came up, one on ebay @ £450 and one from a specialist @ £600. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Chains supposedly at 90k I think but generally you can hear if they're rattle and need changing. Just check the thing all over for tin worm, sills, arches, floor, etc. I'm sure there's some good guides around. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Apparently that new hudl from tescos is supposed to be good for the money. Although I don't think tablets are particularly good for work, get a laptop for that..     Well the coil packs are prone to failure, but I think that normally causes missing rather than total loss. Quite often the casing cracks. I'm no expert but if you search coil packs on here I'm sure there's a wealth of info. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free

    Is yours coil pack or dizzy?? My old dizzy one got wet once and the ignition coil died. Cheap and cheerful fix if it's that. Best to post your spec engine and exactly where the rac guy tested the spark from. HTH Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free

    There's a guy who runs a mk2 Jetta in the vwdrc that used to have a FWD r32 DSG (now manual) setup so definitely possible. Surely a case of blanking off the rear diff on the box? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free

    I think the bottom line is it's not cheap. Even with second hand parts. There's some discussion over cheap ebay turbo kits going on at the moment that mite be worth you reading.

    Look on camskill mate. NGKs are £7 and densos are £9. Gonna put some NGKs in my 12v. How'd you get on with them?
