    Cant be a wiring fault cos it would do it all the time so its gotta be the head unit im afraid. As its new take it back to where ya bought it and get it tested m8

    Got a jom one on mine m8 had to make sure the bottom 3 lugs were fully engaged to get a good fit have since compared it with other vr6 and it seems the same as everybody else's. Does seem to stick out a bit at the bottom .

    Mark its a glossy remake just half a dozen golfs from over the years not worth the money m8 but if ya desparate still got my copy, drop us a line .

    Hi m8 im with the Flux and when i got 3 points they didn't up my premium at all , its becoming the norm for people to get 3 points. Just dont get 6 cos then some insurers get itchy feet.

    Cant confess to parking in known chav infested areas myself :@ :@ but hiding the tweeters too low down means great sound for ya ankles not that great for ya ears

    Although i do not disagree with the ideal sound positioning of a tweeter in relation to the woofer :$ :$ , i would rather lose a little in sound quality than have some chav spot my tweeters and decide to take a closer look. (6)

    The speakers are 17cm in the doors just buy custom fit speakers stick em straight in prices start from about £35 if you got money to spend get some components decent set will cost about £90. Components will sound best but depends on what you wont to spend...

    Best thing you can do with em is bin em and buy a set of 17cm components mount the woofer in the door in place of the standard tat and mount the tweeter where the dash speaker was. Gives you great sound and all hidden from sight if you do it right.

    Got mine of e-bay mate Bonrath unit quite easy to fit and clears screen a treat got it brand new for £50 do was a bargain too.

    What i did was get a second hand barrell and practice on that then when you get it spot on just measure the point of entry and mark that on you barrell, say a liitle pray and go for it...

    Enjoyed the show, nice to meet you Earwig Mark you motor was looking good, my vr behaved herself today which was good and the run they and back was nice, thought we were going the wrong way there sat nav was taking us the senic route. Got to about 2miles away without seeing a decent VW begining to think sat nav was wrong got to a junction and...had to wait as Eleven moddded VW's passed by, i smiled sweetly and pulled out behind em knowing i was going the right way. Top notch cars on show felt really quite humble. Good Work Guys and Girls !amazed !amazed

    If you want to change the ignition barrell you can do it without any special tools, ya dont need to remove the steering wheel just the cowling. Its not easy but can be done, you just need to know where to drill the barrell to be able to release the pin holding the barrell in. Did it on mine. Maybe not be the true vw way but sometimes when needs must!!!

    Hope ya get it sorted in time, my vr decided it didnt want to make it all the way to Ultimate Dubs. Taking her to Santa pod on sunday and keeping my fingers crossed she behaves this time. Should not really complain had her about 18 months and she only let me down that one weekend. Hope ya make it to the show Riggs

    Hi Robbo just a tip mate this topic has been covered several times so you might not get to many replys..If you look at the top of the forum home page you will see a search subtitle , click on this and enter key words such as corrado vrs golf etc and you will get a screen showing all previous threads. This will give you lots of info quickly and easily, hope that helps.... 8) 8)
