  5. Hope all enjoyed the Pod must admit it was my first night racing event and i was surprised at the attendance (over 400 cars stripping) . Had a pretty quick run up driving Jakes (new skool vw) which got even quicker when we met up with Tony (aka the STIG). Was good to catch up with you ( Tony, Nige,Gavin ). Spent most of the night with the camcorder rolling and got some good footage of the following peoples runs up the 1/4 Tony, Nige, Martin,Gavin,Dave, and of course Jake .Just have to wait for Jake to post em up. Was kinda gutted we never stayed over but after yet another long week i needed
  6. LOL' date=' you are such a married copuple [/quote'] Now Nigel you try spending hours in a van with him it aint easy to resist the fronda charms....... Right we at our first job now so will have to pick this up later on
  7. Ha ha as if that's a secret jake!!! we all know you two are partial to a bit of double bedding!! lol I might pop over if it's not raining! remember night racing was freezing last time I went!! Its ok Donna Jake has just said he would happily swap me for you and that he could keep you warm looks like i will be kipping in the car.
  8. Would it not be easier for us to just talk about this seeing as we are in the same van today M8 instead of using this tread when we are not driving. But hey it would not exactly be a hardship. People will be thinking that all we do each day is drive around and surf the web.......Not far from the truth for some off us a Jake After all, the sooner the mileage is on the sooner you can start to open the engine up and enjoy the car even more!!!!!
  9. 15 days @ 40miles a day ( 20miles to office 20miles to home ) i can give you 600 miles towards ther target. Em just said yes to nite racing so im defo there
  10. Should be no problems mate will just say its work !!!!!!
  11. Seem to remember m8 it was your idea to have it pink!!!!! Just got me to ask the question The drive home was pretty smooth and it looked f$ckin ace on the go but i must admit when that tw$t in the Porsche 911 went by me half of me wanted you to show im up and the other half of me was saying dont take the bait. Just remember Jake my offer of helping you rack up the miles still stands it would be a hardship but needs must :-p

  14. Might be up for this convoy guys if i dont leave sat arvo, if no one minds a extra vr tagging along. You still meeting 06.30 at south mimms
  15. Just goes to show you say things in an innocent way and somebody somewhere will add some kind of sexual comment . Not planning on sticking the vr6oc decal on my arse and if i had only the missus would have seen it and she thinks im mad anyway. As far as the works van goes its just a waiting game on funds, the engine is on a pallet waitng to go just need some bits to help fit it like a disc cutter ,large mallet ,massive crowbar and a tub of vaseline. :$ :$.
  16. You can use thule bars 404just make sure you dont over tighten them. the mk3 sunroof car roofs are missing the roof strenghing bar that non sunroof models have so the roof is slightly weaker. To avoid the risk of people damaging there roofs thule advised for non sunroof models only. But you can use em just be carefull.
  17. You goto relise we spend so much time together on average 70 hours a week so it helps if you gel. . Besides it would be differcult not to get on with jake cos he is so laid back 8-| 8-| . But we are our own people and not a COUPLE.......Honest. Got a works van now 04 Vw Caddy 2.0sdi but not for long ????? So am considering some Gay wheels and suggestions (Craggsy ) or maybe a chicken mesh front bumper (Earwig) . Sounds mad but cant find anywhere to position my vr6oc sticker arse..
  18. Just to add top weekend and yet another great oppurtunity to meet new members. I should have taken the vr instead of slumming it in Jakes old girl ............Although i did get to drive the R32 some of the way home and well lets just say if ya was given one you would probably keep it |-) . Its bloody comfortable, handles great , looks sweet and its rapid too!!!!!!!!!!!. Not sure if we will make E38 this year as we have so much work on. Once again great to meet you all and see ya soon ( maybe ) :-p Graham
  19. Hi most vrg number plates are around £500 but you have a more limited buying market as it can only be used on cars r reg or newer so that might effect price. I paid £400 for my vrg plate 2 years ago.

  23. Martin was nice to meet ya and see your motor, top bloke for making the trip down. Will send ya a text soon about the roof lining..
  24. Id personnally go with em half polished and call em work in progress, would be a shame to paint em in my opinion m8
  25. Think you will find that only newish cars have a speed pulse sensor fitted in the vehicles wiring loom. So that would possible mean fitting a wheel mounted sensor. Have seen this done before with a Blaupunkt unit. The bits came from Blaupunkt and where fitted to one of the front wheels inside the rim like a wheel weight only bigger. When fitted the car has to perform left and right hand turns etc to allow calibration. This was the procedure about 4 years ago so things may have changed hope that helps ya .
