  6. Now you mention you got a multichanger is quite likely that the cable has been damaged during fitting removal etc you can get a new lead for about £30 which might be cheaper if thats the fault. What make of changer you got.. Most head units now play mp3 if you got the facilty to burn ya own cds maybe thats the way to go
  7. Pull the gaitor base black rectangular plastic bit upwards carefully and pull it up and over the gear knob you will see the gaitor is held in place with a plastic ring if my memory serves me right , remove this and separate the gaitor from the knob. Hope this helps
  8. Hi m8 it will be wired with either two power supplies one perm and one ignition or the car maybe wired with just a permanant. What you need to do is on the jvc wiring you have a red ( ignition ) wire and a yellow ( permanant ) wire these have bullet connections on the just unplug both and rejoin em the other way round ie join red to yellow and yellow to red instead of red to red and yell yo yell. If that dont work you will need to join the red and red back together and then join one end of the yellow the one that comes from the stereo to the red so that the stereo wiring now has both red and y
  9. Right did you cut any of the car harness wiring at all when you fitted it if not it will still be on its original iso block. You need to borrow a head unit from someone and just plug it into the car and check your wiring once and for all....If you cant borrow one maybe as a last resort buy a cheapie as long as its on iso.... Then when you find out your car is ok which you will, you will have to get your stereo repaired from a car hi-fi specialist ... Just realised we couldn't live further apart one end of the country to the other .... because i would happily look at it for you.

  13. You can walk into a HALFORDS RIPSPEED X Store and buy 205/40/17 Toyo T1-s for £217.04 for four or £54.26 each.... 205/40/17 Yoko A539 for £229.08 for four or £57.27 each.... 205/40/17 Yoko Prada for £284.88 for four or £71.22 each.... Thats supply only price we also can get 15" 16" 18" in common sizes in Toyo and Yoko and also get budget tyres should you need to save on cash. Only downside is there are only 5 of us Ripspeed X stores in the Country. Think your agree that the prices are very competitive.

  15. Yeah silver bulbs flash orange but have a silver coating sprayed over them, they are total road legal check they are 'E' approved can buy em from about £15 a pair.. But are well worth it
  16. Not always under your control, you have a serious accident that does you nasty damage because no airbag and the insurance company find out about your injury's and the vehicle inspector notices no airbag then :@ :@ :@ :@ Still its the owners choice.
  17. Looking good m8 but would suggest ya get some silver bulbs for the indicators makes them more uniform crystal
  18. Dont wont to throw a spanner in the works guys, but i was under the impression that quite a few insurance companys are not happy about people removing life saving safety devices from their cars. This means if their know about it or find out about it can lead to them invalidating your insurance. But hey i might be wrong
  19. They fill it for free for life For that amount of money Would want em to be cleaning it for free for life too
  20. A photo would be great m8 sounds a bit like a product Halfords used to sell a couple of years ago , it was hardened steel in black and yellow and was insurance approved not sure what it was called but it locked the car in gear so it could be what you got. If it sounds likely let me know and i will see what i can found out..
  21. Not sure i would want to pit the vr against a trained traffic cop in a 150mph motor 8o| 8o| 8o| But hey Mark do something every day that makes ya heart race and i guess that would
  22. Is that sirens i hear Mark lol
  23. Amp as standard news to me m8, even if there was dont understand how that would effect just cd and not radio. Been installing audio for over ten years now gonna say its your head unit decided to play up. Try your local Halfords we all have test rigs so should be able to test it for you in a couple of mins and help you sort it out, will depend on whether you get a good employee or an arse :@ but if you dont ask you dont get..Let me know what you find out.
