    You need to carefully prise the whole switch out in one go , if you carefully lever the abs panel out first you can then get to the side of the switch and guage where to start applying presure , dont pull by the round dial you turn the lights on / off with it should only come out just past the dash before you have too struggle with releasing the wiring harness. Hope that makes sense.

    Hi Mark Would have to agree with all of what Mat Dubloke said good builds take practice , you can make a decent build in various materials which looks pleasing to the eye and in keeping with all things vr. You might also find that by the time you have put a false floor in that fitting two 12" subs in and missing the shelf becomes a bit tricky. I have done a build which im well happy with that houses three amps two 10" subs a cd changer all covered in a material that matches the original boot cloth. If you want more info pm mate. 8) 8)

    Hi Most head units have TA traffic annoucement or TI traffic information button on them. Usally if you press this button it will switch on or off the broadcasts this is adentifable by the little icon on you fascia ta or ti lighting up or going out. Hope this helps !shy

    Hi Mark took some photos for you as agreed took them with car in garage so a bit dark %-6 %-6 You can get the handles of EBAY for under £20 and fitting is easy. The gear gaitor surround is by Richbrook you can get these from lots of different companys and prices vary . Glad you like your new momo knob ive only got a couple left now. !lol . Will post ya a Richbrook Catalogue when i get five mins, will send it to ya work address.

    Please can anyone help, Am wanting to know the part number of a fischer cd holder for a rhd golf mk3 am looking to import one from a supplier in germany , he believes it will fit both rhd or lhd anyone know if he is right. The Fischer part number he has is 21045.Can anyone with one of these in a rhd car check for a part number on it for me . Cheers Graham

    Just a thought why not buy Super Brillance bulbs from Halfords use xenon technology so burn upto 50% brighter than standard bulbs , give a chrisper white light , are on offer buy one get one free so only £18.99 a PAIR and are easy to fit. Will freshen up your front end a treat..

    Could be a couple of things do you have a multimeter if so check you power connections should have 12volts supply to the red wire on your pioneer loom when ignition on and 12volts supply to your yellow wire when ignition off and keys removed . Does your interior light work if not most likely a fuse. Some vw looms only had one power supply 12v permenant and therefore needed both yellow and red wires joined together on the stereo loom and connected to this one supply . Any further audio info required just fire away.

    I joined at the roadside was lucky as i was pushing the vr into a laybay rac van came round corner , stopped said hello and luckily he was a vw nut into his air cooled campers etc he had a quick look under the bonnet and said oh dear ...he was on a job half a mile down road and would come back when he was done . Half hour later he was back and hatching a plan, hour later we were being towed to Telford International.     Just wanted to big up the rac !amazed !amazed who helped me get to Ultimate Dubs and back when my baby decided to take a rest on the hard shoulder on the M42 130 miles from home ~ ~ Am now a member and have the knowledge that should i ever need to rest my baby again they will do there upmost to help. All the guys i dealt with treated me and my vr with respect and safely got us home in one piece.     The debate rages on and on.... Anybody wanting honest advise just pm me or any questions just pm i make my living by selling the bloody things every day . IN SHORT there is no guarantee of not getting caught by man in van because of the limitations of laser detection. In the main you buy these devices to help slow you down and to protect you against fixed cameras when traveling in areas you are new to.     HELLO MATE, IN SHORT YES AS LONG AS YOU GOLF HAS ITS STANDARD WIRING BLOCKS . DEPENDANT ON CAR AGE YOU WILL NEED TO POSSIBLY CHANGE THE POWER CABLE LOCATION ON YOUR CLARION WIRING TO ENSURE THE STEREO MAINTAINS ITS MEMORY . IF YOU NEED MORE DETAILED INFO FEEL FREE TO PM ME.

    Hi if you sure your amp is ok then that only leaves you wiring if you remove the fuse from the amp itself and then connect the power to the battery does it still blow . Even if the earth connection was poor the fuse should be ok until you power up the amp so try removing remote wire from amp and see if she still pops. Finally you may have caught the power cable on the bulk head or some other metal part of the chassis so therefore earthin out the power try and get a second power cable and run it from the amp to the battery on the outside of the car if this works the original power cable is at f

    Hi Matt my vr is sitting 60mm lower to the ground on coilovers with a deeper front spoiler ,the gap from the bottom of the spoiler to the ground is approx 3 inch . The spoilers are easy to fit but it does seem they do very in quality.

    Think it is all about what makes you happy , enjoying your Vr6 how you wont to , theres no right or wrong modding is an individual thing if we all thought the same and did the same we might all be driving Nova's ... Now that would be WRONG Ive done what i like and have kept all original vw parts and could return my Highline back to how VW built it.. !lol

    Purple Highline Monster Hi if you want info on any sat nav just ask me... Basicly Tom Tom are easiest to use , Navman are good all rounders, Magellan are the best for mapping , dont buy a Medion or a Mio prone to crashing. In a nutshell if you want easy get Tom Tom If you want practicle get Navman if you want the best get Magellan. How do i know well i manage a Halfords Store and get to use and abuse all of them ....Hope this helps if you need any more detailed info pm me . Graham

    Yeah i do.. Might be a swear word to some but my Halfords has a Ripspeed X dept which offers a dipping service..Can pretty much dip almost anything in chrome,carbon,wood effect and various paint effects with prices varying depentant on size. Having seen some of this in the flesh its a good finish. Turn around is about 7-10 days as the bits go to another company by courier. Only problem is that only four stores currently offer this service with more stores planned if your interested let me know where you are and i get you some more info prices etc and your nearest store.
