  1. Stu give Andy or Miles at Storm a call on 01189810963.
  2. Wow that is extreme, have you weighed it yet? I just want to know if its worth doing, all or nothing. On the weighbridge tonight with me and £10 of fuel mine was 880kg front axle 510kgs rear making a total of 1390kgs!
  3. I run 83mm JE pistons (2931cc) and they are very noisy when cold because of the clearance required being forged, If you run Wossner forgies they will run with half the clearance and they will run much quieter when cold. I run mine every day and very hard when I can, I have seen 25PSI of boost and the block has been fine. I wouldn't recommend going bigger than 83.5mm (2967cc). As said already NA its not worth doing unless the bores are badly worn and require a rebore to save it.
  4. I feel that might car is just too heavy at the moment so Im thinking of removing all my leather and interior out and putting my carbon/kevlar buckets in. Have any of you stripped your cars to make the car lighter? Last time I rolled over the weigh bridge It weighed 1370kgs including my weight! I know its a Highline and 5 door but trying to accelerate all its extra baggage is frustrating me. Its only putting on weight too after adding the huge discs and charger and other little bits Im probably pushing 1400kgs now. Please will somebody inspire me to loose weight. How easy is it to loose 200kgs
  5. How much money have you got to spend? Also are you going to be doing the work yourself?
  6. I got mine from Summit Racing in the US. $188 plus delivery.
  7. 1, my VR 2, monte vr6's s/c 3, 96 VR 4, Focus st03 5, E36 M3 smg 6, Audi s5 7. clarkie (vr6 s/c) 8. Alex @ Lizard Racing I will need to know a date as soon as possible though guys.
  8. If its the blue valve that clicks just unplug it.
  9. Same cranks mate. The displacement is due to 82mm pistons in the 2.9 and 81mm in a 2.8. I run 83mm which equates to 2931cc. The largest I have ssen off the shelf are 83.5mm which I would say was the limit! If you are going to run boost 83.5mm will be pushing your luck. Alot will be dependant on how well your block was cast/machined during production. Not all blocks are the same. If you want a stroker crank you are looking at £1000s there is little gain going to 3.1. For the money you can run a charger.
  10. The crank pulley is 7 ribbed. The smooth pulleys are only on A/C compressor and water pump.
  11. Looking at it that drivers seat looks well worn compared to mine and its done just over half the mileage mine has.
  12. This is at least the 3rd time this has been listed on ebay! There is something not quite right. I was very tempted to buy it but after it was relisted changed my mind.
  13. Just out of interest do you know how much a 4mo weighs?
  14. Blimey, cant believe he is even running that! I doubt its your chains if they were only done 40k ago. Will be something fairly obvious I would think.
  15. I am sure there is one on here somewhere, not sure if you have to be a premium member though.
  16. Engine vibration can cause a resonance frequency that will rattle things at certain RPM, similar to wheel wobble at 65-70mph in most cars. Does it sound like a light metal object or a heavy solid object? Could be dampers, springs, ball joints, anti roll bar drop links, brake disc cover plate etc. Remove the wheels and jiggle a few things. Try also bouncing the front up and down whilst stationary and without the engine running.
  17. Wow mine was 1290, going to have to loose some of that weight!
  18. Strange that it was done so early though.
  19. Find a hill with some speed humps or bumps and switch off engine. and free wheel down it safely. If it still does it you know its more than likely not any of the engines moving parts.
  20. It may sound obvious but just check that your plugs are tight. VRs run a chain also, I hope someone hasn't been telling you porkies!
  21. Sounds like it to me, whats the mileage?
  22. At 128 I lost a big end so be careful! What fully synthetic are you running out of interest? 5W40 or 15W50?
  23. Yeah more than likely, put some Castrol Magnatec 10W40 part in there or dealer Syntha silver
  24. 65? You sure, that is too low and will labour the engine should be running around 90ish
