i have a distinct feeling my gearbox is on it's way out so wondering should i buy a straight replacement?? get mine re-conditioned?? or is their a 6speed vw/audi one that would fit??? if i rebuilt mine i would probably replace fofth to lower the revs on motorway! my car is a 96 VR6 with 90k on the clock!

where is the point for putting in and removing oil from the gearbox and how would i go about doing it??

for me next will have to be my first house and then il look at finances probably a P1 or an evo 8 MR340 all dependant on insurance realy as im only 22!! love the vr but just to many diesels about now adays that would give u a good run for the money. also want to change because i was the only VR in the town but now im not boo hoo il like to be different

flip me my 15's have less clearance than that!! at least i don't have to worry when i fit my 17's though cos if 19's fit 17's def will. dave ur R33 a GTS or a GTR

remus are a reasonable make should be fine be flippin noisy though as it obviously replaces the suitcase silencer in the midle of the car!!

mine have started rattling have a 97 mk3 VR6 done 88k miles understand that it may just be a tentioner or a certain tensioner bolt??? any specialists other than stealers who can do it?? im up near dundee and would preferably like it looked at locally would do it myself but so many specialist vag tools are needed it would cost a fortune. so anybody know of any checks i can do to determine the problem???

sorted now just dawned on me that it may need reset so dissconnected the battery for 30 sec then connected it and bingo strange any idea why it changed something and now works?? -
went to open my car using the remote locking thing and it wouldn't work. this mean i have to use a special chip thing every time i get in the car which is a ball ache and the alarm usually goes off before i have time to do it. also got to lock the door using the key. the immobiliser still arms itself after 20 sec but want the remote thing to work :evil: i have changed the battery in the key fob but to no avail. the green light comes on to say that something has been pressed but nowt happens any ideas what it could be??? :?: any specialists with this sort of thing about locally?? it a lase

think u will also find the fact fuel is 90p a litre is also a big factor as only getting 250 miles to £50 of fuel is not most people idea of economy.

is the speed of the intermittant setting on the window wipers a set timing? just that id sweat it is different sometimes and was wondering why?? can see any way of adjusting it?? my car is a P plate 1996 OBD2

well i own a golf have never driven a rado so can't comment and only driven a fcuked old jetta. my golf has the usual shocks springs combo and handles ok but lift off oversteer and tramlining under breaking can be scary. even after 6 months i still don't always know hat the car is going to do. although i had more balls than an R32 owner i nearly showed up recently got the shock of his life when i got level with him just after a 90 corner!! -
well u tend to hear clicks clunks etc if the front engine mount is needing replaced. mine did so i fitted the vibratech mount well worth doing in my eyes. and the engine shouldn't move with the hanbrake on as why would u have it on and be trying to move anyway ??

well i own a BMC and a ram air pro ram ram air i have on for sound but it suffers from heat soak. the BMC is for power and is used when on 1/4 miles rr etc!!! so ram air for sound BMC for power and the both cost the same

i used dastek earlier this month did a good job of my graph laminating it and all but u are not allowed to watch the car on the rolling road cos of health and safety. star are meant to give rather ambitious figures so maybe we should use them lol

considering getting spacers for my rear wheels to make the car look that wee bit wider and also handle that little bit better. where could i get spacers and can anybody see a reason not to do it?? and not 100% sure how tha spacers work but wou;d i need new extended wheel nuts???
