  1. well mr chairman im doing my own cos it's free although if i can get it ceramic coated at a decent price il take the wrap off!!
  2. it's half done but that about 3 hours work. just hard due to the fact their is zero clearance between each one. so any ideas where i could get it ceramic coated and the cost would save so much hassle and due to ceramic properties it would work excellently!!
  3. got a 6-2-1 to fit half wrapped it but it's a pain to say the least. this is due to the arrangement of the pipes as u can see below seen in magazine that some are ceramic coated. any idea about who does ceramic coating and importantly the cost

  9. sound mate il give that a try whyen i get home. how did u empty it? presume i just remove a hose at the lowest point and let it empty??
  10. i fitted the front one and never thought of that i would not bother unlikely they would notice anyway and if they did plead ignorance. and yes i have declared all my other mods!!!
  11. thought theirs were 140 but anyway yes iv used them easy to use quick delivery.
  12. jesus boys u lot pay alot. im 22 1 NCD unlimited mileage all mods declared and im only £522 fully comp!!
  13. it just seemed far to tight to get on and was not helped by the fact i was lying upside down!!
  14. what thermostat did u get cos it's preset setting should be lower than that. the top hose will be warmer as heat rises mate. would not imagine the pump would cause this more likely poor circulation of some sort!!
  15. well cant get any pics at the min offshore till tue. but if u stand looking at the block it leaks tightto the block on one of the hoses. is the water pump not on the left hand side though??? also how hard is it to empty the whole system as then i would just take off each hose and check each one. what colour anti-freeze should i use?? pink stuff ok?? also where do i bleed the system once iv refilled it?? kilokilla yes opening the cap when it's warm why does that happen???
  16. well it must have been a different clip cos i spent 2 hours trying to get the clip onto the ball and was having none of it!!
  17. broke the plastic clip betewwen the pedal and the slave cyclinder bought a new one tryed to fit it but not much joy. the clip goes onto a ball joint but couldn't get it on in the end jammed it on and it's held with a jubilee clip which is just a temp measure till it's fixed. ( so is their and easy fix for this????
  18. car had been losing a fair bit of water losing even more now. seems to be coming from a coolent hose on the right had side of the block. also does not lose anything if im driving about but if i stop and sit it drips away. weird aswell is that when i take the cap of the tank which appeared empty fills up again is this an air lock??? should i just bite the bullet buy a new samco ones and a new thermostat hosing and stat or try and fix it?? would prefer just to fix it but if it's going to happen again and again now with the standrad hoses il uprate them!!
  19. well everybody seems to just remove them and block up the appropriate pipes think il just do that and if their is a smell of petrol then il reposition it don't see the point in giving myself extra work!!
  20. where would i get tubing to move the canister to the other side???
  21. well where about would i get extended tubing to move my canister???? my mate is a plumber and he is going to build me a cold air feed that goes right to the vent in the front bumper. just a question but would it be better to put the BMC where the original air box is or should i build an extension and put BMC at the end behind the bumper???

  23. my box is getting a little tight synchro's starting to wear etc. i feel i could probably do with a change of oil. whats the best oil to use considering the gearboxes age?? where about is the drain and filler for the box??? could i do it myself?? what tools would i need?
  24. want to know what this is?? guessing it's a pump of some sort its front drivers side corner and would be under the induction kit. could i move it as it would be great to have the space for a cold air feed!!
