    Not sure what make they are yet, but got them at bargin price from ebay so coudn't say no really. what do you think? Just need to get some tyres and probably some spacers.

    the width is 61/2J which is the same as the standard rim. so if i get a 12mm spacer that will make the offset to et36 which hopefully will look ok. Thanks for the help Si

    Just bought a set 16" 5x100 et48 mirror polished rims. Just wondering will i have problems with clearence for this fittment. And if i add a 10mm spacer does this mean the ET will become et38 or et58. and can somebody explain the if lower the et does that mean the wheel futher out of the arch or futher into the arch.

    I'm sure that VAGParts will do us a group buy if we can get the numbers. I'm definitely up for this one. RHD please! That's who i've spoken to so far, I've so got a friend who's the parts manger at VW who could probably do us something as well, but i will need the correct part number's for this.So if somebody can help on this matter would be good.

    How about a thermostat housing with a low temp thermosat and a low temp fan switch. With all the gaskets an 'O' Rings and the samll adapter for the crack pipe.

    The "whirring noise" is the aux. water pump it shoud switch off after about 10mins thats normal. Not sure abut the starting problem

    How can i tell if my clutch is healthy? Or should i be thinking about getting it replaced regardless, as the car has 100,000miles on it now. The car runs fine to me and pulls away fine, but then again i haven't been in or driven a another VR so not sure what it should be like. Will putting it on a rolling road tell me its ok as i will be hopefully going to the RR day in December. Sanky 8)

    When i had mine replaced the mechanic got access to it from underneath. He did swear a lot while he was doing it.

    Colud be a wire broken, open the door and where the hinge is there is big wiring loom pull back the sleeving and chech the wires. also do the windows open with switches in the dash.

    Yes deffinatley sound like the aux water pump, might be on its way out. It should hum like a small electric motor Easy enough to change if it is

    we've had this discussion before and the way i look at it is. If your oil is really dirty you need to start doing your oil and filter changes at sooner itervals. As if your using something like synta silver it has all the cleaning properties in it already. I wouldn't use the engine flush to harsh IMO, but never heard about the desiel oil before.
