  2. Could be the leads or the coil pack if you've got one or the plugs itself. Try spraying a very light mist of water when its dark over the plug leads and coil pack. And see if yoyu can see any sparkz leaking.

So if don't find the answer you are looking for in that post you can go back to your search window and pick another post out of the list Saves hitting the back button or doing the search again
  14. The only special tools that are needed is a tool to hold the Camshafts in TDC when the work is done, and even then you could use a small peice of metal of the right thickness to hold them. I would do mine myself but i don't know how LOL
  15. Stockers, You can alos get it form www.speeding.co.uk i've used these guys a few times and always come up trump with delivery. and wilko motorsave have started stocking it aswell if theres one near you
  16. I've spoken to some guys on 'C' forum and they reckon they need changing at about 80K. and one way of testing is to drive the card and try changing gear from 1st to 2nd at about 5K Rpm if hard to go into gear quickly then is probably on its way out.
  17. when you find one let me know? I've asked a couple garages around my area and the all say they don't need doing, or are not willing to take the job on.
  18. you can still buy them from the dealers or ebay. My orignal VW caps were damaged due to water getting in behind the emblem. I removed the VW emblem and replaced them with porsche ones for £10 for 4. These are for everyday use and i also have set of BBS ones for show use
  19. Did you notice any it been grity prior to the calipers been shaven down. I ask as it could have been there before due to chemical fall out or overspray. And you might just be noticing ot more because you've seen the dust from the calipers. Can you pick the specs off with your nail. Try giving the car a good wash with a bit extra shampoo the normal. and then try claying it, if it hasen't been done before it will be smooth as glass.
  20. have you had any work carried out recently on the rear brakes. If not i would sugest you get it put back on the vagcom to see if the fault has cleared.
  21. did you put it on the vagcom first to see why the light came on in the first place. As this would have told you which sensor is at fault or if it's something else causing it.
  22. PHM i think you'll find that Aux water pump runs all the time with engine on regardless if i'ts hot or cold. And carries on running for a futher 5-10mins after the ignition is turned off.
  23. Is it possible to remove the external door handels, without removing the door cards. And if it is has anybody got a How-To for it, or some guidence on how to go about it.
