i would just like to point out that Nerih was in the group buy for aero wipers. and one of the last post that he made in there was. "who ever has my wipers can you please hold on to them till the new year" So i think he might have gone away for the hols. and should be back soon. as i still have his wipers.
yes it's both inner and outer bearings. You don't have to replace the bearings, its just they don't cost much and it saves you the hassle of removing the old.You might need to get new ABS rings if you damage them when you take the old ones off. And give the ABS sensors a little clean and try not to get any muck on them or move them.
Well i just changed mine to a new OEM one and i didn't see any signs of oil leak on the old one or the new one. The top one is a rubber mount with loads of holes all around it and is about 90mm in length when new. The old that i took out was about 70mm in length.
Thanks Justin, Just spoke to Vince and he says the same thing better start saving for next year show season. Thanks for the kind comments about the car, makes all the cleaning worthwhile, and the motivation to enter into a few shows next year 8)
We've had a lot of posts regading BHP but how about getting more torque. Loooking at RR results i was pushing about 180.f lbft, and they are other people doing close to the 200 mark with very little mods. So my question is whats the best way to get more torque. At the momment the mods are SS exhaust form cat back and de-coned air box with standard filtter.
Great meet, and some absolutley stunning cars. Was quite impressed with my run on the rollers as it was the first it had been on and was bit nervous when they thrash it. Just like to give a BIG THANKS to Claire for the organising of the whole thing.
the Aux water pump should be on all the time when the the engine is on. And stay on for about 10-15mins after the engine is switched off regardless if the engine is hot or cold.
I want to change the gearbox for the hell of it :| , and i was thinking about using some OE stuff. After reading a few forums i am a bit confused of what to use. !grr Does anyone know the part number for the OEM stuff as the dealers around here only list the one type. What about the Redline MT-90 is this stuff any good, and is anyone using it !lol
Mine sits bang in the middle all the time even whaen i'm sat in traffic. You haven't fitted one of those lower temp thermostat have you. Have you checked for any air locks
In that cas the mechanic might have moved the sensor silghtly or it have got some dirt on it. This happend to me when i had my rear disc and pads changed. The light came on couple of days later, had it checked out and was told the sensor was showing fault. Bought a new sensor and booked it in to have it fitted. Couple of days later light went out and has been out since. Just drive around in it for a few days and see if it settels down. If not just take the old sensor out and give it a clean.
Have you changed your pads or anything on the rear axle since the light has come on. Try checking under the rear seat to check if the wiring is ok. If not then it's most likley the sensor
Try squirting some fairy liquid down the cone side, And use Flat scredriver to push the lugs out. Theres been a post about this before try doing search you might the answers your looking for.
Firstly have a look in the boot and esure that light inside there is not all the time. ie goes off when the boot is closed. Secondly check the Ampere on the battery is correct one for the car. Can't remember off top of my head what it soupsed to be. Have you got a multimeter to check the battery and alternator? If not take it to somewher like Kwik-Fit and ask them to do battery test.
