  1. not a prob mate ... they are fairly easy to change... AND i kinda wish that was my engine, but this is mine!!!!
  2. hi mate coolant temp sensor is just to the right and below the inlet manifold.. they're on the thermostat housing facing the back of the rad..... if you have air con there are 3 switches if you don't there will be 2 and a blank plug... the engine speed sensor is bolted to the lower front part of the block near to the gearbox end with a single allen key ..... the connector for it is just by the other sensor ... p.s.this is not my engine unfortunately......thanks to whoever's it is - found on google...

  6. mine are going to get connected to the interior light so when the doors are open they come on.... one wire to earth , the other wire to the pin switch probably....
  7. if you don't have the above highline door pockets then you will need those part numbers yes, if you have them than no you won't .......
  8. right then - the warning lights are £7.65 each from vw inc vat (1J0 947 411E) (i didn't know they came as std on highlines - i don't have one - thought they had reflectors) the sill trims(foils) - stupid description on etka are £17.10 each side inc vat numbers are 1H0 853 805 A01C and 1H0 853 806 A01C antera 309 - they should fit the cabby - i think the tops of the sills are the same as a hardtop car - length won't be a problem ..... everyone else - i'm sure they are just stuck on - i am going to order some for myself so will let you know asap...
  9. a 109 relay is £12.91 from vw .... any half decent dealer should have or i can mail order pm me if you want one ....

  11. the "109" relay is the fuel pump one ... it has "109" on the end - visible when you look at the bunch of relays under the dash
  12. if you have the highline door pockets too they have reflectors in - you can take them out and put in the mk4 puddle lights!!!

  14. mine is a daily driver - snow, rain, sun, work, town, pub, cinema, forest, beach, shops, le mans ....... everywhere i go so does the vr why buy a nice car and then not have the pleasure of driving it . . . .????
  15. i may have to visit that ... not too far from me ...
  16. they are 6 1/2 x 16 beetle steelies, running et42 all round ... used normal sandpaper from 120 down to 1200 grit to sand the black paint off the outer rim ( they come totally painted matt black) then laquered the whole wheel ... job done.. need to take a tiny bit off the caliper carrier to clear the inner edge of the wheel but other than that - straight on... tyres are 195/40 16!!!! - making them tiny overall diameter and therefore the car is silly low...

  18. i didn't like them at first, it was to get an idea of what black centred wheels would look like...... now they've been on there a while i'm starting to really like them actually ... they are 16's from a new beetle ..... i do have the trims aswell!!!!! but no they are not going on..yet..
  19. thanks peeps... what's wrong with my parking???? made the car at the right angle to take pics, and no-one can dent my doors!!!!! as matt said - all the old dears down here nobody can park anyway!!! to be honest i would think about about spacers but the steelies are not mine - i have only borrowed them for a couple of weeks as a temporary measure..... new alloys comin soooooooon (hopefully)
  20. yours will have a 3 bar pump as std... i doubt it will even be able to supply 4 bar as it wasn't designed to there is a 4 bar one for earlier vehicles, which had fitted a 4 bar regulator from factory - it's number is - 1H0 919 651Q but it's not cheap . . .£134!!! !amazed !amazed
