    Not difficult, just a bit fiddly. get yourself some 12v led's from ebay (twist fit ones) they are listed on there all the time and i have some instructions on how to do the job......

    get some ngk mate, BKR5EKUP, they are as fitted by vw. well worth the money at about £7 each from a motor factors.

    the tool for the leads you should be able to get from vw ... part number T10029 - costs about £20.... as for the plugs halfords (cough cough) do some good tools now, they will probably have the small diameter one needed and the extension....

    absolutely, the drain plug is on the crack pipe but it is a night mare to get to. the bottom rad hose will be easier - you can get to it from underneath fairly easily..

    a lube service is essentially just an oil and filter change. they will have a look over the car but not a full inspection. unfortunatley kerry, just bad timing for the hose to go then. oil would have made no difference at all... it won't have damaged the engine as you stopped so quickly too. at least they are sorting it out for you and you have a lovely poolo courtesy car... (aren't they great??? :-p)

    old vw number is 02A 300 046K new vw number is 02A 300 048DX.. the old number is no longer available, but should be stamped on the box if it is a 2nd hand one. the new number (DX on the end) is an exchange item. and silly expensive - like nearly £1200!! they are both 02A boxes, (1st 3 digits of part number) though there are various different 02A boxes and not all will fit. CCM should be stamped on the case too somewhere. an 02J box is a mk4 one - it MAY fit but will almost certainly have the wrong ratios......

    i don't know if you can get a full lock set for a mk3, but you can buy an ignition barrel and key , then rebuild your door, boot, and glove box barrels to match that new key. it's not difficult, just a bit fiddly

    there is but IT WILL ONLY WORK ON CARS WITH A DIZZY not on cars with a coilpack. i found this out the hard way and blew up the ecu :@ ...... had to order a new one from vw in germany - nearly £500 and 4 weeks wait with no vr........ in the end i got a schrick control box to get mine to work.....
