  1. will do my best, dont wanna miss another of those salmonella bbq's like last year! lol
  2. i will be pulling out all the stops to be at this one too. have the time off from work as it is, just depends how far i've got with the car as inters will be just round the corner!
  3. ram air as well! no difference in power/torque when compared with the bmc despite the shielding, and cheaper than the bmc too!
  4. didnt think it would be long! its like the old one- "whats mickey j's favourite video?" "he loves getting alladin!"
  5. but , despite the transcripts so far, very true. AND VERY,VERY DISTURBING! nothing against the guys music, or his status in the music industry as one of the best ever, but there's summat not quite right about him in general. not the first time such allegations have been made, and as the guy has so much money, you'd have thought someone would have tried a different tack if trying to "do" him outta his fortune! kinda makes ya wonder, especially those of us out here with kids ourselves!
  6. brentacre are pretty good on that sort of thing, and they will know the mods to the car when u tell them. hfc are also pretty good now, and although you cant expect to get away with a small premiuim, the length of ban, and fine amount does play a big part in the cost of the insurance, ie, the lower sentence/fine, is indicative of the premium served. plus ten years ncb should count for something surely!
  7. i'm pretty sure the b&m shifters for the vr's come without a knob attached(no jokes please!) as some have integral knobs. minty's is indeed a neuspeed, but i'm sure someone on here has one fitted, just cant remember who! weighted shifters are aftermarket products for rod-change boxes on mk.1/2/3 as the vr already has its on version of the weighted shifter!
  8. sometimes if you dont do the lights back up properly, they are only small nuts so peeps tend to be gentle with them, they can let in water as stu has said. it could have had aftermarket lights on and removed, or if you have some on now! it can also leak in thru the rear screen on some, more so if its had a new/sh hatch due to rust, or some paintwork, as the window is bonded in and unless its done properly, will never seal tightly enuff again!
  9. i had mine changed when i my quaife'd box went in as we snapped the original trying to revove it. was fairly easy then but i did have the front end off completely and, as andrew says, the front mount need to be off to to allow you to jack the car up to clear the zorst! should still be fairly straight forward tho!
  10. i wonder if its pink under the hood? lol!
  11. nice looking highline there matey. just needs slamming and a decent set of rims and it will look even sweeter!
  12. mines fat boy! lmao. prob the least offensive so far, and most fitting, lol!
  13. may have sucked some debris from the tank bottom into the fuel filter. best never to run any fi car right out as it will pick up debris. change the fuel filter inside the offside rear wheel arch to be safe! blocked fuel lines can be a costly and hard to locate fix!
  14. as dubweiser says, it is indeed a reiger gtx front splitter! around 90-100 tokens depending on where u get it from!

think the mileage is certainly excessive but i'd say the mpg is prob about right tbh for about town, quick start-stop driving! still a bit cheeky doing that many miles tho!
  16. - Some VRs came with blue seats with blue dash & trim. like mine in one of the pics andrew has used already nick? lol
  17. happy birthday clive. no doubt you'll be having a "couple" tonight, so have an extra few for me!
  18. or replace the relay entirely with a new one! they're not expensive and will at least eliminate the most obvious cause if nothing else!
  19. any news on this as to wether it was fuses or not?
  20. the key here is to find out if returning your wires to as b4 u started allows the rear light to go off wen it should! if so, the prob lies in your wiring system! never take wires from rear lighting circuits to power amps or audio gear, just as a precaution more than anything else! if you blow a fuse in the amp, or short circuit it due to probs, it could fuse your whole lighhting circuit too! always take fused power at the battery for main amp power, and ther shoud always be a lead from the head unit to power the amp from, however old the unit(within reason of course) but even a power ariel le
  21. can i have pm too mighty? badboy-beefing up the loom equates to alowing you to run higher powered bulbs in the lights without melting the existing wiring or constantly blowing fuses!
  22. Dunno what yo u're on about. i see uv got the words biggest bong lmaorotf now thats funny shit! as for those japs, its like i always say, they'll never make a classic car, but they r excellent at copying and making much better engines than some other rivals. will never be better than a v-dub engine, imo, be it air or water cooled, but fair play, they do know how to make some screamers!
