  6. i like them too, but you could have had my rs4's for less than that and still replaced two tyres under the price u paid for them! "i like 5 spokes " statement u gave me goes outta the window huh!
  7. powerflow in worcester are pretty good, i take it you mean the a44 service station outlet? i know several peeps inc my brother who have had them done there and no probs at all!
  8. good news guys! aprt from the fact i wont be on the rollers again this time, and my vr wont be looking its best as its got winter rims on! maybe a pic of shiniest/nearly shiniest engine bay could make its way in ther tho! pretty pleaseeeeeeeeeeee!
  9. wouldn't buy from halfrauds tbh clive, you can normally get better for similar money or cheaper still by looking at some of the websites. cabling can be had cheap from maplin along with gold plated fuse holders/distribution blocks/battery terminals. nearset maplin is cheltenham so not far! try www.cel-direct.com or www.letsbuycaraudio.com for prices on speakers/cabling!
  10. am having a few small worries where my thermostat is concerned just lately and wondered if anyone can shed some light or give advice as to what could be the prob. had a stuck thermostat some while ago diagnosed by a lack of really warm air from the heater and the temp gauge not reaching normal operating temp.also had aslightly noisy aux pump, so changed the thermo for a neuspeed one and the aux pump for a vw bosch item, along with my samco's and g12 coolant. have had the hoses off a couple or three times since and changed coolant for various engine/gearbox mods, and have noticed that althoug
  11. nice one justin, shame about the power, but i'm sure it will be sorted soon! still not looking clean tho, lol!
  12. very nice justin, although i'm sure it will look all the more sweet by the time most of us get to see it in the flesh! congtrats!
  13. would love to attend this but depends which weekend and what time as my shifts cross 3 out of 4 weekends a month for me! let me know what your thinking but if it was around the 26/27th of feb then it would be kewl!
  14. i'm up around 5.15 to start at 6am, but its only 3 days a week for me due to my continental shifts!
  15. looks nice rich, bet that fk grill is a damn sight cheaper than the rip-off kamei one and looks just as sweet!
  16. that'll have been me then! <...
  17. 10k plus not including the car itself, which cost me 6800 nearly five years ago now!
  18. even the colour doesn't save it from being ott and then some. " its a proper gomper"
  19. i think whichever way it goes its going to cost you somethindg long term! thats a real bummer dude, although at least it was done in a car more then capable of higher speeds!
  20. agree with suspension being the first port of call, no good looking good if you gonna fall off the road on the first tight bend you arrive at! then concentrate on the aesthetics of the car itself! there's plenty out there now for theses cars and as has already been stated, its down to how deep your pockets are with the vr6!
  21. yeah, it comes with the plug on the end that connects to the loom where the old steering wheel plugged in, folling the system into believing the airbag is still operational, which quite apparently it will not be! i'm sure u could prob do it cheaper but for the sake of a tenner its not worth the hassle imo!
  22. and i bet it doesn't mark! have tried in vain with every car i've owned not to slip into moding it , telling myself its just a hack for bumming around in but always failed to heed my own warnings! its a bug that wont go away and you got it bad already mate! congrats on the job by the way and and stay in touch with the vw lads you worked with for all those much needed goodies that come along every once in a while!
  23. i'd say it needs reshelling tbh, and the insurance will not be going down that road unless the agreed value is quite high! went down this route with a beetle of mine that got shunted when some dodery old git pulled outta a junction in front of me! agreed value my arse! i hope they pay you what the car rightly deserves justin! and lets all start searching for its replacement, gutting i know(been there twice now), but a better excuse to do what you were aiming for will never present itself!
