  1. Just over 4 years (May 2002). Bought it totally standard with 45,000 miles, for £8,000 - going price then for a good Highline. Just clocked 65,000 miles, but do not really use it that much - 2nd car.
  2. I've got a VW mag from a few years back with that in! I like it! Jon
  3. Petrol related, but I'm still running on the same tank of petrol, I put in, on the day I went to Volksfest (30th July) and that was a 90 mile round trip. Just shows how much I do not use the car! Trouble with having it as a second car - does not get used enough. Jon
  4. Very nice and fast and excellent on fuel too. 150 the one to have... Good find there! Jon
  5. Looking good. Are you local to Brighton? Jon
  6. The blue would make a change then, which I would want. Yeah, you're correct about the leather Recaro's. That is why I want that model in black, with black leather. Would be very nice in mulberry, but that is not on this model or Mk4 come to that. Some also have air con which is a must. Power hood and abs too. The only ingredient missing, would be the V6. It would have been perfect if they made V6 cabriolets from factory. Oh well, would settle for the 2 litre. Cheers Jon
  7. Got a Freelander for everyday driving in which my Highline (65,000 miles) is hardly ever driven so I fancy another convertible for the sunny weekends... Thinking next car will be a black Colour Concept Cabriolet Mk3.5. Do the dashboard clocks light up blue or just the normal Mk3 green? I see that they have red needles on the Mk3.5. Cheers Jon
  8. If that kid becomes a famous actor, he is going to cringe about that advert, if he goes on a Jonathan Ross equivalent show when he is older! Jon
  9. Looking good! Saw that on E38 for sale the other day. Nice one! Jon
  10. Hi Claire, I've now been a member nearly as long as you have (all but 2 months), so I've read your posts along the way and the progress of your (old ) car. You've always been friendly etc when I got married, my wife had a baby. It would be great if you carry on supporting this website and doing your little chores very well. You'll get another nice car to replace Dusty. Just hope you're not using that pink Granada for everyday! Jon
  11. Put me down for the Sunday please! Would love to do the weekend, but I'm a family man with a wife, baby and a dog and a family car - Land Rover Freelander! Jon
  12. Here is mine, before I fitted Hella Celis (angel).
  13. Not sure which day, only can make 1 day. I suppose both are as equally as good! What is usually the better day out of the 2 - Saturday or Sunday? Jon
  14. Saw a Beetle limo like that at Stonor Park this year, but in beige.
  15. I've seen a late mulberry Golf GTi before too with the black arches etc...
  16. Well it was headline (first story) news on BBC1 South East. The girls aren't that worse off, as first thought, but the policeman interviewed did say, that the result could have been like a car crash because of the speed! The link has now been removed by the website (Tube) and they have been told to closely monitor their website. This is what encourages 'Happy Slapping'. BTW, I saw this boy last week at the traffic lights whilst driving my Freelander (my Highline is 2nd car) and he said to me ''what is that old man's car your driving''. Yeah whatever. He thought he was having the last laugh. W
  17. Just found out that the Police have been talking to Zack (boy holding up the scooter) about it today. It will possibly be on the South East news tonight. As I said earlier, it has already been on the local radio news. The girls are seriously injured.
  18. Our local radio station news has broadcasted today that the girls were severely injured... No wonder the Police will get involved!
  19. MK3anni, don't be put off? There are some nicer parts of Crawley to live in. Just avoid the parks!
  20. All standard, apart from the headlights. Looking good! Jon
  21. The police are looking for the muppets involved!!!!! Is there a reward then for supplying a name and address? The kid (holding up the scooter) has always been a little shite! I'm glad that the wife and I bought a house far away from the little tyke!
  22. Yes that was mine Steve' date=' if you talking of the backend of my mulberry one. I just made I rubbed the sticker really hard before peeling off. Jon [img']http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_files/public/1154288020_3286_FT129322_dscf3032.jpg
  23. The funny thing is (as I said on chatbox the other day when the link was also there) is that I live in Crawley. The boy holding the bike up is on of my brother's old acquaintances. Jon
