  1. I use to have a black Sportline before the mulberry Highline. Just wish I had a digital camera between 2000 and 2002, rather than scanning photos.
  2. I guess you built the car in the first place, ie, transferred the VR6 bits in etc? If you did, suppose it was very easy for you being a mechanic? Cheers Jon
  3. I thought they looked like CC Recaro's. Mine took 6 months to find and had 34' date='000 miles. Very happy with it. Another requirement was air con too... [img']http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/jonvr6highline/P3260341.jpg
  4. I wonder where you got those headlights and taillights from?
  5. Nice mate. I've recently got changed my VR6Highline to a Colour Concept Cab 2.0. Have you or are you putting a VR6 engine in it? Jon
  6. Ours is 11 years old (77 in dog years) next month. He was very hyper when he was younger. But he now is very graceful now and a is excellent with our 18 month old son. Has such a lovely character. Often when we are out, people ask to stroke him and even 1 couple took a photo of him. Jon Even likes VW's and helps keep my car clean!
  7. I bought my Mulberry Highline just over 5 years ago with 42,000 miles. I paid £8,000 back then and that was about the going rate! Sold now though. Jon
  8. Hi Donna, I'm going to make someone happy for the Sunday reserve list. Let Tompo and his mate fight it out. Please can I now change my attendance to the Saturday instead of theSunday? Thanks Jon
  9. So am I included on Sunday's list, as I cannot seey name down? Cheers Jon
  10. As in the other original E38, I'll be there on the Sunday. Have not got my Highline anymore (the one I took to Volksfest last year), but I'll be in my black Colour Concept Cabriolet. I'll just leave the bonnet down. Jon
  11. OK, I sold my Highline, but have got a Colour Concept Cabriolet (2.0 8v) instead. I was on the Volksfest stand last year in my Highline, as some of you will remember. Would I be able still to go on the VR6 stand, if I keep my bonnet shut? Jon
  12. Just read this. I'm sure you'll be back. I've been on here since December 2003 and its a very good website! Jon
  13. My sort of humour/cup of tea. So is Jimmy Jangle and the Ginger one. Class! Jon
  14. That is so funny! I was only take mickey out of Jim the 'Council Gritter' last weekend! Jon :-d
  15. I thought that was rather funny, especially the ending! Jon :-d
  16. As I said in my thread to you, shame you are selling it as lot of effort put into it. Also you'll miss the days with the roof down. I agree that Mk3 and Mk3.5 are getting popular on the modding scene! That is one of the reasons that I sold my highline for the cabriolet, to be different and time for a change. Jon
  17. Of course, when I had your VR, the shocks and springs were fine and I liked them as I did not know any different. But now having coilovers, I can see that they are more versatile. You don't miss what you've never had! Jon
  18. Cheers again Tom. Must admit that the coilovers are firmer and a very comfortable ride. Added bonus of being able to adjust the height to suit yourself. If I had your VR6 back' date=' I'd probably put coilovers on it. Have to meet up 1 day. Would like to see the old VR6. You show me yours and I'll show you mine. Jon [/left']
  19. Cheers again Tom. Thanks Nick. I would say that the Cab is mint. It took me 6 months to find it, but well worth it. I agree about just adding some wheels. Could have Borbet A's for it this weekend, but they are 9" all the way round and I would have to do some arch work. Don't fancy that. I really like the WRD Mesh wheels. Also the ones that Pedrox use to have when his car was blue. The car does not need any other alterations. Just some phat wheels. Do like the standard BBS RXII that I have now, but would like it to stand out more and be more exclusive. I often look at the photos and spec of yo
  20. It is a Mk3.5. Cross between the 2 (Mk3 and 4). That is what its called - Mk3.5, never was a Mk4 so to speak. Jon
  21. Cheers. Seems to be popular move at the mo with Mk3.5 front ends.
  22. Cheers. That was high on my spec list. Air con is excellent for when the roof is up and being black, it gets hot in there. Once you've had air con, it is a must for me. Do you think it is strange because it is a Cabriolet then? Would not be without it.
  23. Well I've had my new car a couple of months now and thought it was about time I posted some pictures of it. I've had numerous cars (Cavalier, Orion Ghia, 2x XR3i Cabriolets, XR2i, Clio 16v, MR2). A family friend once said to me, once you've had a VW, you'll be buy another one. He was right. I've had 3 Golfs in a row now and in a few years, fancy a black Eos. So he was right! I've been into Dubs now for 7 years! Definitely got the taste for VW's! Anyway here was my first Golf - Black Gti Sportline Cabriolet which I had for 2 years. Sold that with 65,000 miles. Then I had a Mulberry VR6 Highli
