    People who don't move over to the left on the motorway, regardless of what speed they are doing, they should move the hell over! The right hand lanes for overtaking, not hogging! I do a lot of motorway miles on the M1 and my journeys could be half if peeps followed the Highway code rule about staying left when possible!

    They do fit over 288mm brakes, although only just mind, as I used to have a set for track days.

    Been there done that and found them way over rated! They work well on the Mk2 Golf, but not sure there up to the extra weight of the VR. I've had various makes of suspension kits on my VR and currently have the FK Konigsports, which are by far the best of all I have had IMO.

    Jom ones are by far the best fit and quality compared to the others. They are even metal as opposed to plastic on the bottom section as per the genuine equip ones.

    Most alloy wheel shops/fitters will have them, they don't have to be specific to BBS.

    Yeh Snap-On are a large American tool and equipment company, you can get there stuff over here though very easily. Just type Snap-on into google on the web!

    Its on tonight as far as I know, used to be a great meet, but unfortunately been ruined by loads of idiots (mainly non-VW drivers) when it was at Guildford. Haven't been since its been at Fleet services, and as its freezing, and my car is the filthiest I have ever seen it, (after covering over 500miles this weekend in it, in gales/sleet and salt covered motorways) I won't be venturing down there tonight! Although, maybe if I give the rims a scrub and find 5 coats to wear I could be tempted! LOL!

    Lots of nice wheels on there, but think they are all too big to get under the Mk3's arches without major work. They all seem to be 18" or above!

    You can get some Snap-on seat covers which are multi-fit and very useful for when you are dirty etc... I have a set of these and find them invaluable to stop me scratching the leather and wearing them out when I am dirty/working on the car etc... And you can use them on which ever car you have.

    328i and VR where my options when I bought my car. I drove various VR's and 328i's and eventually plumped for the VR, and not looked back. Last year I had an S-reg M3 EVO Conv. and was all set to sell the VR, but in the end I actually prefered the VR to use everyday than I did the BM so stuck with the VR and passed the M3 on! Rwd was a lot of fun, but just found a sorted VR a better and more subtle package than the BM.

    Yep door switch is the most likely course. Does it work when you open the other door?

    Believe me its a right headache to get a set of Merc rims that look and sit right in the arches! I'm now on my 3rd set and still they don't look right! The offsets with the adaptors are a nightmare to get right! Luckily I've not polished any of them before trying them out first!

    Look 4ward to the pics mate, have been looking into getting mine chromed for a while now as too difficult to keep polished all year round! Be VERY interested in getting mine all done.

    Nice VR mate, not too sure about the Chavalier next to it! The VR looks familiar, has it been in a mag at some point?
