  1. Have you changed the bump stops too? Could be they are not allowing full travel on suspension and so your riding on or nearly on them all the time.
  2. I findyou need to hold it on the handbrake keeping one hand on it with the button in ready to release, keep the clutch just below the biting point so car is still but trying to almost move. I tend to find revs at about 3.5-4k is best and then release handbrake as you carefully feather the clutch as much as you dare, ensuring you have let clutch fully out before completely nailing the throttle! I've recorded a few sub 7 secs 0-60 times with The Golfs timing gear strapped to my car, although was on a very dirty and gravelly disused airstrip at Bovingdon. Got few runs on vid, but no idea of where
  3. Best bet would be too PM Pedrox on here as its his car!
  4. Looks nice mate, think Pedrox has one very simialr underneath his bad bot bonnet. Think the fog lights only come in pairs mate.
  5. As Binliner said really, I had the Koni/Eibach combo, but prefer the flexibiltiy of my FK Konigsport coilovers and to be honest it drives and rides a lot better on them dispite being lower!
  6. 1) Tommy 2) justin tbc 3) minty 4) jon 5) ozzie 6) Mike (rollinindubs) 7) Richard (VR6Rich) 8) Simon (Six Appeal) Will try and get Vince (Mangold) along too!
  7. Very nice platform to start the modding! Just how mine looked all them years ago, before I got my grubby little mits on it!
  8. I had a Sebring on my Vr a few years back, nice system, sounded nice and was made very well. I wanted a different look so went to Supersprint, and can't rate them highly enough!
  9. Pete, I may be able to help you on the 16" BBS front if your looking for something a little rare?
  10. I was seriously tempted by that at the price I was offered it! It looked a very tidy motor and well maintained, it would've made a fun daily driver! Enjoy mate, looks like you got a bargain!
  11. Looks very nice mate, lovely dish on the rims too considering they are only 7" wide!
  12. Thats wierd I thought there was enough room to do it! Will check me Bently manual tomorrow.
  13. Matt have you got MSN? Simonthripp@hotmail.com If so add me as its easier to chat on there about it? There are 2 different links for different lights which go in 2 different ways! Very confusing! LOL. It may also be down to it not needing a link at all, or this powered dip resistor that was causing me problems.
  14. Matt, I've found that some UK cars have a powered dimmer with the sidelights on. This is powered by a resistor under the drivers side wheel arch! Disconnected it and now mine are all sorted. I recon yours is down to the link not being in, or in the wrong place. As I said before your welcome to mine or very easy to make one?
  15. Matt my car came with Hella quads from new and had a link in there already! Its a different link to the Mk4 style one and links 2 different slots in the number 10 postion! I now have some modded R32 angels and when the angel eyes are on in sidelight the projector main lights come on dimely too! From the German instructions it looks like a plug lead should be in there too! I'll check the postioning of my Hella quad link and let you know! ( your welcome to it as I no longer have them!) So in summary: Ignition off/sidelights on: just angels on. Ignition on/sidelights on: angels and dim. main bea
  16. Look 4ward to it! I'm sure it was your car, or else its got a very good looking double!

There's always loads on E-bay mate! Been looking myself.
  18. Definately go for a Supersprint, I can't rate them highly enough. You can chose to have by pass pipes too instead of boxes. So can go louder if you like? I've had a few systems on my VR and My Mk2's. Including Remus, Sebring, Magnex, Scorpion and Jetex. After all that expense and trial and error I've found Supersprint to be the only one to go for. Build quality is first class too! Nice and subtle noise, that doesn't drown out the sound of the Ram Air and the Shrick hiss! Nice little burble when it gets warm too! Its quiet and subtle unless your really giving it some which is just how i like i
  19. Will find out postage costs tonight and let you know.
