i'd say the A3/S3 seats are actually the same as a mkIV golf...so will require work to fit into a mkIII golf.

if you go for a second hand 'box, which is the most sensible thing to do (unless you're minted of course), i've heard that changin the final drive to a lower one has a very good effect on accelaration. i don't think it'll be that expensive either, so its a good cheap mod. you need to speak to phatvr6, he knows more.

sounds like a seal or somethin may have broken, if not the casing has got damaged, have you had a look for holes? for a 6 speed you'd need to supply them with your existing case...so if its damaged , you'll have to get anothe box from somewhere. what was the steering like? did it feel heavy? reason i say that is its common for the diff to let go and take the 'box with it. there is a '93 vr6 at a breakers somewhere (contact details are on a thread titled 'i've joined justins club' or similar), but they wanted £60 for the set of clocks, so they may well ask loads for the box.

just renewed mine for £580 (would've been £520 if it weren't paid monthly) FC, with elephant. i'm 23 by the way!

who cares...if you want fuel economy buy a TDi, if you want fun you buy a vr6! lol!

you have to launch it with the revs over 3000rpm to get a good start...but you have to have the grip to that.

july date sounds goo to me, as long as i don't have to pay now! just read on autosport firstview that they may well open up the silverstone south circuit for racing (its only used for testing, and race school activities at the mo), i hope they make it available for track days too as its a top track. very fast, but safe (with the exception of island bend)

donnington or silverstone only for me...i value my car! (all the rest have limited run off, except maybe snet - but that has bumpy run-off that often flips the cars over) ideally silverstone, but it'll prob be too expensive...i know my way round there like the back of my hand! would also do rockingham. well, had a look myself today, and there's deffo no markings on it. my mates gettin really pissed off with the guys on migweb, who keep sayin its marked...and its not! lol! -
actually, i'd say its better to have more tracktime. that way you know theres no rush to get upto speed, and you can take your time. i once got given 30mins in a clio cup racer...i normally build up very slowly on track, but knowing i didn't have much time i pushed from the pitlane exit...result...went into gravel on second lap! oops! i also wouldn't trust max power kevs on track with my vr6, they'll probably take you out! and remember that you're responsible for your own car when on a trackday.
