    Well, the time has come to sell the VR. I've had loads of fun in the old girl, but it's time to move on........or back in my case!! I'm going to look at an '02 plate Ibiza Cupra tomorrow. H&R suspension, Brembos, 17s. Standard engine wise.......but that'll change I've sold the VR to a good mate of mine from my previous stint with a SEAT. He's only a few miles up the road from me and the car will mostly get used as a weekend toy! He'll be taking her tomorrow. Hopefully the Ibiza's up to scratch, and if so i'll be bringing it along to E38......i'll park it round the back of the club s

    As we're on the subject of Subaru's......I had a nice little tussle with a P1 the other night I'd literally just pulled away from a set of traffic lights so was still in first gear, and the P1 had just drawn up along side me, so a slight rolling start if you like, was doing literally 5mph. Looked over at him, gave him the cheeky grin......he looked like he was up for a play, so off we went........well, i was certainly suprised by the outcome, seems though the P1 has 280bhp and 0-60 in around 4.8 secs.     Yep. It's been done. Venom put a 2.9 VR lump in the front of a peppermint green polo if i remember rightly. Was for sale a while back on E38 forum.

    Excellent spec there. It's already been said, but the cams may be an issue. I've got 260/264 in mine with no problems. Hope your gearbox holds out!! You're definately going to need a LSD of some description, either Quaife or Peloquin, otherwise you have 300+ bhp an no forward movement what so ever! Bigger brakes will be needed too!
