    On my vr With the engine on, lights on, open door, buzzer sounds! With the engine off lights on open door buzzer sounds! If you've got a problem, then it looks like i've got one too...thought that was normal :?

    Ive got infinity kappa components front and back...with a 12inch kapper sub....sound very nice and a big improvment over standard....always buy on line or out of the mag's as few shops can compete price wise! Ive used www.msc-direct.co.uk and www.caraudiocentre.com in the past! [ sony.jpg ]

    Mine sits at 90 once warmed up......it never moves even in traffic on a hot day or giving it a boot full...am pretty sure that that is the norm!

    Welcome to the forum amit auto vr..interesting...not to sure how the auto box would stand up to a charger or a turbo for that matter...you need to speak to awesome or stealth as they will be able to point you in the right direction £8k would get you either mod with lots of change i'd have thought Just out of interest how does the vr go on a auto box?

    I think what he's trying to say is there's nothing wrong, hence the slight build-up of moisture on the oil cap through short journeys, that?s how I?d interpreted it going on what you?ve told me but I?ve never met or seen the car?at the end of the day if you don?t feel happy with it leave it, there are plenty of vr's out there! It took me over 8months and most of the country to find mine but as they say the best things come to those who wait!

    I looked at one of these spoilers not so long ago.....agree with binliner the top one looks better...think you can get a air scoop that fits in the gap at the bottom too!

    Mine does that too.......nothing to worry about mate unless its drinking water, then you may have a problem!

    yeah....probably a bit of dirt on one of the sensors...mine started off like that then it stayed on...vag com told me one of the rear wheel speed sensors was faulty...got a new one from vw for £73 am yet to fit it though...far to cold and wet to be playing under cars this diagram may help if you need to take the sensor out to clean it should the light stay on [ abs1.jpg ]

    Ive drilled the air box on my mk1....gives great induction noise....they did a rr test in one of the vw mags, and a drilled air box on a k jetronic engine did give an increase in bhp/lbft...can?t remember how much though, in was a few years ago! I personally would fabricate a enclosing round the cone filter like six appeal said over drilling the air box as i recon you might get a better power gain on a vr but that?s just me

    99.9% sure that Superchips aren't remappable.....they're on off the shelf chip

    Pads are bought in pairs so unless the previous owner was a spastic(no offence to disabled people) both sides should have been replaced.... the piston can seize causing the disc and pad to wear down...its possible it could cause the car to pull to the binging side...how does the car feel since the works been done?

    Sorry mate i know i said grind but ment role ..have jamex springs and shocks at the mo...think there about 40mm.....enough to cause me greif with speed bumps and multi story car parks

    Sadly I think there going to be to much of a headache to run...if only I could get 7 or 7.5 RH rims...I don?t have coilovers so am unable to raise the ride height (hope to have some in the near future though)...not sure if I want to go down the route of grinding out the arches just yet.

    Thanks for the info mate.......thought they might me RH rims but didn?t realize they were genuine split rims.....am a bit concerned about the fact they are 8inch wide though...I don't want to go wider than a 205 tyre for fear of rubbing on the arches...what size tyre are you running and how much has your vr been dropped by?
