    yeah...........ive got 16" wheels on my mk2..................i run 195 45 16s on the back due to the clearance problems..........and 205 45 16 on the front..................they still pick up a bit on the front if pushing it very hard in to round abouts.............standard ride height will be ok .....its only when you go realy low you could have some problems

    lol......................that pic had a few other car's in it to start off with so I didn?t think it was any good.......I zoomed in and just cut cropped your vr,...........will have a look but I think most of them were out of focus to start off with

    they look good to me........like justin i take most pics with the camera on the floor...........the advantage of digital camera's is you can take sh** load's of photo's and just bin what is crap.........that what i do anyway

    could well be...........ive only ever seen imports on a s, but i know what you mean about the mk2's.................its alway's one of those grey area's...........a car could be made in 97 but be registered 6 month's later.........hence minty's vr being a early vr on a N plate

    i'd agree you would like to think so, but there is so much sh** out there.........i found that most people's idea of a vgc or excellent condition car is my idea of tatty one........ and there are so many messers out there too.........it took me about 7month's to find the perfect one and i was willing to pay top top money for it!

    i did see a white s reg vr for sale on the trader last year....that also had a body kit so i'd guess its because it came from south africa........its also got the early 16v wheels on it ...............R was the last number plate letter you could get a vr on in the uk!

    A Friend selling his mk2 gti(Ozzie, he came up to e38 with me)......1990h.......vgc i think he's looking for about £700 ish i can find out some info if you want or is that a bit more than you want to spend?

    I used to do this to my land rover...............with old engine oil.............you'd be surprised how well it works, it just make's a bit of a mess putting it on

    I dont think it's any good for polished rim's .........but you can get in from halfords any way, i think sixappeal run's the RH throughout the winter month's just keeping them clean ,or you could get some winter wheels

    Give a good clean..wheels off under arches to remove any mud and general road grime that's built up over the summer. Make sure that you clean the car regularly through the winter months. Treat any stone chips as these will start to rust. Make sure that you wax the car aswell. I tend to coat the engine in WD40 as this stops salt and moisture altough it does make you engine bay look a little grubby but nothing a wash will sort out in the summer. Depending on what wheels you have you can use brake dust barrier which protects the finish on the alloys.....as long as they're not polished [ Edi
