  1. Well, totally gutted but I think I'm going have to sell my Brock B2's... ;( The only reason is that because I have a step drive, and I cant get the Corrado as low as I'd have liked... this means that the wheels dont look right on my car ;( boooo and stuff on the right car they do look the muts nuts I'm after a set of 15's as I always go for handling over looks, and I do like the 'motor sport' look.... sooooo suggestions people? what do I go for? Pete
  2. All you need is a G60 final drive, and LSD. job done mate. 3.68 final drive it is.
  3. Sure did abit of bish bash bosh later... I wrote a guide on doing it too http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?436334 1lUQde6M2F4?hd=1
  4. I must be mad.... I cant even bring myself to repeat how much I've paid for some new roof rubbers for the Corrado! these brand new roof rubbers came today, along with my side repeater covers, brake hose clips. Just need get a front silencer now and some screws for my fog lights
  5. Could be coilpack or leads mate... Pull each lead out in turn see if anything changes... Likewise with the MAF if it runs worse with MAF unplugged then you can probably rule that out. Likewise with each ht lead...
  6. Do your fans kick in as they should? I'd have thought at that temp they would be on? Do you get hot air through the heater vents? If not, your water pump could be on it's way out..
  7. I'm hoping so Paul... It's probably coming upto 3 years since I sold my Mk2 VR6 (R.I.P) due to house and kids and all that, but finally looking forward to driving one again .... thats unless I dont sell it and buy this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volkswagen-Corrado-2-0-16v-blue-OFFERS-/290564903326?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item43a704919e#ht_1371wt_937
  8. They sound like typical Corrado problems that! Once you have sorted the 'generic' type of jobs, it should be a little more reliable... don't forget, they are knocking on now
  9. Usual things on corrado to check; Sunroof tilts and slides active spoiler operates off the switch door handles operate without resistance sunroof seal heater matrix usual VR6 stuff, chains, head gasket bonnet cable central locking electric windows aux water pump should operate on ignition if late corrado, check heater controls are in working order, and no resistance on the dials. check all 4 heater motor speeds
  10. you could still pop over mate, would speed up things.... as I sent them second class Yeah, it was a known working item, probably damaged in the post, those bulbs are easy to pop! I verified that it was the bulb by attaching my multimeter to the terminals of the bulb. On turning the ignition it read 12V, after a few seconds, it dropped to 9v. signifying that it was the bulb at fault. Just writing up a guide now!
  11. hey buddy. 2 problems: 1) VCDS uses a different way of communicating with my ABS ECU than the older version of VAG-COM... not looked in detail, but using VAG-COM works fine, I suspect a default setting is different between the 2 versions. 2) ABS Bulb had popped - what made it more of a head scratch was that I bought another ABS light module, which also had a popped bulb, so it looked something more than it was... Ordered some bulbs from RS components, and with a bit of bish bash bosh, I had 2 working ABS light modules; Happy days... few more bits to do before I can get it in for an MOT, but
  12. jesus man, what have you been smoking? I'd love to have the balls, and those sort of skills you've shown so far!!
  13. My punto had a broken downstream lambda and it failed it's MOT. so i'd have thought you'd need it.
  14. Sounds like the door pins could need replacing? i'm sure another guru will confirm I've got a slightly sagging door on my corrado also that I want to fix
  15. yep, the wheel should push it into the hub... usually there should be a guide screw that lines everything up, but once wheels are fitted, shouldnt matter as it push the wheel onto the brake disk, and in turn push to the hub... could you have a wheel bearing problem?
  16. Working ABS - Corrado VR6 Finally, working ABS on the Corrado VR6.From:The VR6 Owners ClubViews:5031ratingsTime:00:08More inAutos & Vehicles
  17. Yes, the yellow sensor on the thermo housing.. Could be possible the sensor is knackered... Use the above procedure to test... Pete
  18. bulbs ordered... will have a spare ABS module once they have arrived and soldered to the PCB, will also have some spare bulbs too..
  19. I've seen the bulbs on RS Components, cant see them on Maplins... will be ordering some later (min order 10) so will buy these, fix up my spair ABS lamp and sell it on + aditional spaire bulbs// I imagine they are fairly common across the VW range. Pete
  20. it's been a while since I've put an update on here, been a little busy with work and all that sort of stuff. Today, I got the brake lines on, bled up the system, and troubleshooted the ABS problems I've been having as the light does'nt come on at all, and I was getting comms issues using VCDS.... I replaced the ABS ECU, obtained a new ABS Lamp, still had the same issues, It seems that the replacement ABS lamp also had a blown bulb, and it would appear VCDS has a software bug, as older version of VAG-COM talk to the ECU just fine! I tested the ABS by attaching a side repeater bulb to the term
