If the car is no different when it's plugged in, it would suggest its faulty. Mine ran like a dog when it wasnt working.. Really lumpy idle and no power... Sometimes turbo / supercharged cars are mapped without a MAF but see no advantage on an NA VR6
  3. just for an idea, you can pick up the Final Drive etc... for between 50 - 100 pounds. If you speak to places like Stealth Racing, Storm etc.... you might find they have a couple knocking around! Expect anything from between 400 - 600 for a box rebuild with the G60 final drive Pete
  4. Hiya, the 3.68 Final Drive is from a G60. Highly recommend this modfication. I had it on my last VR6 and it totally changed the way it drove, so much acceleration in every gear... no more need to drop it a gear before it gets lively anymore... An often overlooked modification, not 100% on the 5th Gear. I did alot of motorway miles, and alhough it used more fuel, I didnt mind that much as I had instant power at my foot. DanH is the man regarding the removal of the rivits / bolt replacment... Hope this helps In short - do the 3.68 final drive, totally awesome and definetley how the VR6 should
  5. not 100% sure if im honest, if your box is foobered, you can usually pick up a complete box for about £150, and its as simple as a box swap...2 hr job might as well do clutch while your there if its knocking on abit...
  6. sounds like it could be the gear selector unit in the gearbox?
  7. I'd love put an R32 lump in my corrado!
  8. Corrados ain't the best for keeping out water, my ABS ecu is water damaged and that sits inside the car under the passenger side kick plastics! Possible your bonnet is not quite fitting flush and has let water in.
  9. Are you able to determine what speed the fans are running at? If Its speed 3 then your black sensor on thermo housing could be knackered, just unplug it, and flick the key again, same with the yellow sensor too... moving on from there, it could be switch on the radiator (unsure how to test that) or it could be the fan control module unit, these are fairly commonly known to go faulty... My final thought is that maybe the previous owner has put a perminent live feed on the ignition to the fans to mask a cooling issue the car may have had.. (of course that's assuming it's always been like that s
  10. If you have air con, and it's switched on then your fans will run, if this is an accurate assumption, the loud click is the clutch engaging on the air con compressor. Pete

  15. Hi there. There's loads of guides and how-to's in the knowledge vault. If your a premium member, then you'll have access to it
  16. Usually there's another person apart from Vince on a rolling road day, so when you take into account wages etc.. then it's not really worth while imo so I can respect the minimum of 20 cars.
  17. Have you had it mapped since fitting?
  18. I had a set of FK Coilovers and they only lasted 9 months before they had to be binned..
  19. I'm afraid it's looking like it won't be this weekend. We will have an update shortly!
  20. You can probably get some from the dealers?
  21. Sounds like your fan temp switch isn't working mate... You can bridge the wires to see if the different speeds kick in etc... I'd expect speed 3 to kick in if you bridge the wires on the plug of the black sensor on the thermo housing...
  22. Morning chaps! Never put any flexi joints on my racelands, just good uprated engine mounts have been fine for me, don't forget to heat wrap the manifold - it's easier to do off the car to be honest
