    search the forums matey this has been discussed more than it rains in the UK.... but in a nutshell.... make sure your engine mounts are in good nick. get a raceland heat-wrap it before you fit to the car. never had any problems with the raceland i had fitted to my mk3 or mk2 VR6... and just fitted a ceramic coated one to my corrado!     not bothered with unlocking - which modifies the baseband / radio on the phone... but jailbreak is literally 'usermode' software so can easily be resored where as baseband / radio is a little more tricky!

    You can jailbreak to use facetime over 3G and skype already supports video calling over 3G - its actaully quite good....     It's just 4 screws, the face of the climatronic unit pops off with a little leverage, and 4 screws are revealed!     There's a couple of plugs on the rear of it so remove and check wires - I might have one in my garage that I'd sell you cheap - worth a try just swapping over the unit?
