If you are changing the wheels you will have to decrease the profile of the tyre for the bigger wheel. For example, standard size for a gti is 205/50/15, if you change to 16 inch, then 205/45/16 tyre and for 17 inch, 205/40/17 tyre. By decreasing the tyre profile (the middle number) it will make the same distance covered for one complete turn of the road wheel regardless of 16 or 17 inches diameter.

Happy days, hope it's the one!

All of what you said is fair comment! Have a read up on our buyers guide still and look to pay a bit less than he's asking for it! If he ever answers his email or phone! [emoji106]

Well, there's Defo 3 of us Saunders, which is 1 more than normal! -
Unlucky on the crack pipe but you done well. Where did you leave your nadgers? Coz they must have frozen off!
-
Have you a friend or someone who's mechanically minded etc? You could take them along to look too, they might spot something you don't.
-
Have you looked at the buyers guide which is on the oc website? That will really give you an idea of what to look for if that car is still available, you don't want to buy one that looks good but is actually a dog!
-
Welcome to the club Ahmed, what's going on with your build? Did the last engine expire or are you transplanting into a gti?
-
looks like quite a good one Kieran, nice to have the leather already, one less mod!
-
Lmao. Try and keep the mods subtle and when you've had enough of owning it, it'll be very easy to sell on. If you customise too much Kieran you could find it very difficult to shift later on, I've seen heavily modified vr6 on eBay and they just don't sell. Did anyone see the White vr6 on eBay a few months back? It looked very sorry for itself, big bumpers and fibreglass all over the place. I'd be suprised if it sold even. Here's another YouTube film for you http://youtu.be/npQzV-SPcas

Yeah he's a bit of a deviant, I've got a couple of suspect things of him too daveyboy! [emoji2]
-
Bit of a fan of these wide boy body kits then cabbs? The only bit of fibreglass I've ever had on one of my cars was a sapphire cossie rep rear spoiler on my 1.6i ghia Orion. :-)
-
Daveyboy, if you're normal, I don't want to be! [emoji2] I think you should have warned him of cabbs, he's the special one on here. [emoji106]

check out worthersee, sowo, mivw on YouTube, that will give you an idea of what stance is. It will also show what's possible visually and mechanically. You are not likely to see much fibreglass but you will see carbon fibre, polished aluminium, stainless steel and some wicked tyre stretch. Check it out. http://youtu.be/gn9zociNwzo
