  1. Hi all. I thought that when i became a dad, nothing would change...Clearly buying a house, supporting your family and trying to build a fast car isn't an option... Unless you are lucky enough to not have a wife or have an understanding wife lol! So here it it, something had to give and unfortunately it is my mk2 VR6 Turbo project that has to go. My project thread is here: http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/41841-1997-vw-golf-vr6-mk3/ The reason this is up for a project: No MOTSmokes a lot once up to tempRev counter doesn't work (needs the mod doing)Needs remapFront wings need replacingGood bits:
  2. Hmmm maybe mine will be ready for July lol!
  3. Haha defected, I like to think progressed :-)
  4. Yes mate, scrapping the mk3 as I've had to take most of it for the mk2. I have a lot of parts left over if anyone wants any though lol.
  5. The mk3 (red one) is the donor for the mk2, sorry Bealieboy but the mk2 is a 3 door and space grey and I've always wanted a mk2. I'm not gonna leave this site though, too many good peeps on here.
  6. So this has happened over the last two weeks: • I became a father to a beautiful baby girl • I became the proud owner of a mk2 Golf GTi So let's skip the baby part and get onto the part you guys want to know about, the 1991 Golf GTi. Got a text from my pal Matt asking me if I was serious about turbo'ing the mk3, I said yeah course but can't afford to part with £4k at Stealths to do it. He then said how about a mk2 Golf VR6 with T4 turbo for £1200. I immediately gave him my money and asked him to get it bought. Luckily for me Matt helped with getting the car brought down etc as I was sitting in
  7. Yeah i've got the same issue and to be honest, i've just jammed two bolts in there that were left over after stripping my engine. They are too long so don't fit properly ut I need to go into B&Q and check the size to get shorter ones lol.
  8. Thanks dude, was just checking whether it could be run for a bit on 315cc to save on going all out straight away but thats cool, i'll get this done. Will definitely be mapped. Fuel pump is on my list of things to purchase.
  9. Hi all. Managed to get myself a VR engine with a T4 turbo all running etc. Looking at the recommended parts list from Stealth and others, some of the supporting parts are different... • will 315cc injectors be ok? • what FPR's are people using? Thanks all!
  10. Looks awesome. What seats have you gone for buddy?
