    215/40/16 gives a nice stretch on 9" rim

    Possibly daveyboy's arches were rolled. My new wheels are 10" wide on the rear and my arches will Defo need rolling.

    It's a good idea to improve comfort, it just means your indicated speed will be wrong. Better to have bigger tyres than to ruin the wheels. I don't think the wheels you've chosen will rub.
