New oem tie bars, new oem track rod end finished in polyurethane top coat.
Re-conditioned tie bar gators.
the bronze colour is copper grease.
Tapping the wishbones bushed in.
best way I found, but ended up using a larger hammer near end.
I went for R32 rear solid bushes. not poly,
because they have no outer lip like polybushes,
this outer lip may of limited me when air out.
so I went for R32 oem instead.
I went for Polybush front mounts, and got them in red haha
New oem ball joints, finished in polyurethane.
Also the wishbones have been customized for maximum lows with standard subframe.
I got them fitted on to the car using new oem bolts, that I also coated in the polyurethane.
But didn't get photo yet.
I've also done a tie rod notch other week, and welded all that up.
So it now has tie rod notches both sides. and chassis notch drivers side I did ages ago.
All fully welded and reinforced.
My solid top mounts have also had a little bit of tweaking.
So have the front air bag mounts.
Plus customized wishbones, and tiny bit on subframe.
Back on to the supercharger over Easter, as I have a few days off.
I've got all the belts I need, all the bearing have been replaced. Everything's painted and polished.
I designed a custom small pulley for the charger, which is now being made.
Should hopefully be here some time this week.
it takes 25mm width belts, meaning I can use off the shelf available belts. and will be a higher PSI.
So need to get that fitted. I've made most of the piping, but still need to do abit more.
Boost here we come!
update coming soon.....

Front crossmember all finished in polyurethane coat.
Stupidly I didn't get a photo zoomed out of all of it.
Pushed the polybushes in what a pain in the ass they are to do!
used 2 big G-claps and various pieces of wood.
and micro fiber cloths to stop marks on the paint.
Got it all fitted on to the car.
not the best pic in world, put a few braided lines on my power steering.
More new old stock.
Audi 80 Vdo dials i'm going to link up, unsure where I'm mounting them atm.
I've also ordered a matching Vdo boost gauge I had to order from Germany.
I'm thinking of mounting two maybe where the speaker goes on top of the dash.
in a nicely made oem looking mount. The other two I'm unsure of where to put them.
center console has air ride controls, and psi screen. I have a heat seats, so there's a switch in that location.
don't really want to move the stereo, dis like pillar mounts, will come up with some location though.
Wishbones will be fitted this weekend,
Pushed some of the bushes in earlier this evening,
Again what a pain in the ass to do the rear mounts!
didn't get a photo, will get one on weekend

I remember seeing this for sale, glad it's gone to a good home. Love the interior

Hi,
I'm new to the forum after a recommendation on fb.
Looking forward to seeing all the epic builds on here.
I picked up this little beauty last year and have spent the last year getting it running correctly and replacing loads of bits n peices.
There was just something so appealing about it, not just the fact it sounds like a fighter jet but the little touches just sold it for me
A little bit about the car:
2.8 supercharged vr6 with 65k miles on it
Jon bois old interior which is unreal, I would quite happily have these seats in my longer rather than my sofas haha.
Mint 3pce splits with stainless dishes
And loads more
It's running at about 280bhp which is plenty bhp for me lol
Here's some pics and I will update as I go but I will be mostly spending my money on fuel as this noise is addictive!
Had some running issues and over heating issues so replaced the water pump, temp sensor, thermostat, fans, engine mounts, rebuilt the super charger, new sump and the list goes on and on.
One best mk3 golf at show and glow which was amazing after all the work I put in to the car to get it driving well.
Prep work before the show at HavAir Hq.
I have literally just dropped the car off at HavAir for my air ride to be fitted and the following paint work:
Smooth front bumper light out
Smooth off the side repeaters
Fit two new wings
Oaint rear quarters
New windows
Heres a rubbish p'shop to show what the front end will look like
Can't wait to get it back from them!
It's inside at Ultinate Dubs so will see you all there

Haha, yeah I have my own busniess called Perfect Paint and Detailing (check out my page on FB) and I have been in the trade for about 10 years now The problem is, I very rarely get enough time to work on my own cars!

Looking good bud! The US splitter IS shallower, but it's also deeper too, meaning it wont fit a euro golf bumper, unless the splitter is cut down Alternatively, you could get a Vento bumper, as they are the same proportions as the bigger US bumpers

Also forgot to add I put my new splitter on as mine only had the gti splitter. Not too sure weather to keep it as I think it will be too low when I get my new suspension. Thinking of getting a U.S. Spec splitter as I think they are a bit shallower?

So I finally got the VR back together I gave it a good wash on Saturday, and have taken any opportunity to take it for a drive this weekend
Anyways, pics:
This happened Christmas Eve
So it sat in my yard, waiting to be repaired, and then I got a bit carried away lol!

Managed to do a few things over the Christmas holidays. Was hoping to do a lot more but I had to have my dog put to sleep on Monday so that put everything to a halt managed to get the seats in and the door cards. Not sure if I prefer it with my old leather door cards or the new alcantara ones yet though.
Think I may end up dying the alcantara a bit darker shade of red too.
Also fitted my black sun visors and black passat grab handles.
Not sure why I bothered fitting it all as its all going to have to come out again, just itching to see how it looks I guess.
Also managed to source and pick up some lc9z wings as mine where totally rotten which was a shame as the rest of the paint work on mine was awesome.

Surreyvr6 got a reaction from VR6CABBS in Tyre Stretch
There's a website, think it's something like www.tyrestretch.com if not have a search on Google. It has a lot of pics of different diameter and width wheels with various tyres stretched on them sent in by people. I found this very helpful

Yep that's the one, really freshens it up inside. My leathers are in pretty good nick but these half leather half alcantara are spotless

I think you've gotta have a bit of stretch, it seems to just make the wheels look a bit better, my wheels would look rubbish with big fat tyres on em!

Did I see that interior on eBay a few months back? X show car interior? Looks pretty good and will brighten the interior somewhat.
