c00k 435
You certainly have some skills !What an awesome looking car.Would love to have the skill set to be able to do things like that myself' date=' but sadly I don't so I gotta pay others to do it :-(Air ride is my next step to ! How do you find it comfort wise ?Mark.[/quote']Cheers for the appreciation mate, it's been abit of work, as i do it all single handedly, one or twice i've got a mate to help, but under my supervisions...I dislike other people working on my car, as i can't afford the expensive/good garages, so i would have to go to the cheaper ones, and then standards drop. And can usually do a better job my self! Quality means doing it well when no one is looking! The ride is so much better with air, while aired up at driving height it's more comfortable than standard springs! and rolling low is better than coilovers by miles, but it's no where near as soft/good as at driving height.I also run a 8 valve system, so I don't get any bag transfer when cornering. because if you run a 4 valve system, air can move between either rear bag, or between either front bags, causing the car to lean more to one side. Known as bag transfer, best way to combat this is to run an 8 valve system. (or specially placed check valves).Where is the compressor situated? Any photo's of that? The compressor' date=' valves, water traps, and everything else is under the false floor in the boot. ditched the spare wheel, and used the spare wheel well too..I just chuck one of my winter wheels in the back when going shows, or long drives would have to take my adapters and stuff off if I wanted to use the standard spare wheel,so it just easier for me to use one of my winter wheels, and there the same radius, and no low MPH rating i'll see if i can dig some pics out of the boot build for you now buddy. I do have a full build on my local VW forum. www . So-Wal . co . uk but you have to be a member to view it..it's free to sign up if any one wants to have a read.. http://so-wal.forumflash.com/index.php?/topic/145-black-vr6-spare-engine-rebuild/ - Direct link to my build [i'](but needs membership)

c00k 435
The plastic guides for the HT leads look brand new... are they? or again reconditioned by yourself? Need some new ones as a previous owner thought it wise to glue them in!!re-conditioned mate, i clean them with soapy water, not much soap as it sometimes leaves white marks, dry them thoroughly, heat them up a heat gun not to much so they don't warp, this bring back some of the colour, and while there cooling but still warm i apply chemical guys new look trim gel, it's brilliant on black plastic, i used it loads on the trim and arches on my GTi.
