    Hi and welcome to the club mate. Looks like a tidy car you have there pal. Is that another I see in the back ground aswell? Haha. We have a club stand at the GTI fest if you fancy coming along and putting your car on. If not pal come and say hello. We're a friendly bunch of nutcases.

    Have a nosey in the events section pal and get your name forward if you fancy it.

    A long over due update on the corrado. Finally got around to getting a genuine second hand starter motor which I have refurbished (not yet fitted). I've spent a few ££ on it over the last few weeks acquiring the parts and serviceable items I need.. Started to cracking with it on Saturday gone, made progress of changing the oil for shell helix, a fresh set of denso iridium plugs along with a brand new set of leads.
    Oil filter has been changed along with fuel and air filters.. God it needed a bit of tlc.
    All the breaks have been broken down and serviced and are to be built back up next week with a new set of rear discs and pads..
    Hooked the battery up for the first time and guess what? The spoiler and the sunroof both work effortlessly. Absolutely chuffed with them results..

    We purchased this car in December 2014 and it sat in a garage until early this year where it was prepped ready to show over in Belfast last week at Dubshed 16.
    The car itself is a basic model sporting a 1600cc powerhouse with 22k miles from new. It was in very good original condition but we decided to change a few parts!!! The previous keeper also a member on here brought the car back to life then looked after it until we got it.
    So here it is.......

    It came with a lot of history that I'll not bore you with!?! It was a real tidy original car so only needed a few tweaks..........
    AP Coilovers......

    Recaro Colour Concept seats.......

    BBS RS 001's.......

    So with all the bits n bobs purchased just had to set about them, I polished the wheels up and Del at Optimus trimmed the seats. We managed to source the original materials from Germany to match!
    BBS RS 001's.....

    Recaros.......

    Things were coming together so it was off to Gerry at Performancetec to fit suspension do alignment and fit the wheels......
    Next it was time to remove the ghastly coach lines someone had fitted, unfortunately they were hiding a small area that had been painted on the rear door!!!!

    So that was the car all ready it just needed a final lick from Craig Steel at Anonymous detailing, here is how it looked finished!!!!.....

    So it was all ready for showing at Dubshed 16! We got a great spot on the GTINI stand right in front of the main stage........

    It picked up a wee win too, BEST MK1/MK2.........

    So that's it done and dusted, back in the garage. Probably going to sell it on and let someone else enjoy it for what it is!

    It's been a while and last weekend should have been the weekend I was fitting the charger!
    All was going well leading Upto the weekend. Got the walbro pump installed.

    That was a nice job.
    got it all stripped down and got the right belt length for the charger etc...

    Then the issue that put a stop to the install. The brass oil injector was damaged and upon torquing it up snapped!
    So. New one on order from USA and will go for round 2!
    Got the boost gauge and vent pod in the mean time for that OEM look. Very happy with this.

    Got the 1/8" fitting on the back now. Had to cut it down so it fits nicely in the vent.

    Also this week I've replaced the rear wheel bearings both sides.
    Also had an oil leak. Tracked it down to the oil pressure sensors.

    Both have been replaced today.

    Been spending every spare minute working on this over the last couple of weeks ( which is not many minutes when you have a 6 month old!) but I'm pretty much there now and ready for a show or 2. Got the rest of the interior cleaned, died and repaired,got a new set of seat runner guides; then swapped around some of the seat plastics for ones I had laying about, knew they'd come in handy one day!
    Old vs new;
    Then swapped all of the red anniversary belts back to black as they just didn't go and fitted the rest of the interior;
    Then after a couple of test drives, one up to Bealieboy's to pick up a couple more bits from the Nothelle Golf;
    I took it into work to get the tracking checked which was 4 degrees out even though it seemed to drive fine!
    I then gave it around 1.0-1.5 degrees of negative camber on the front and had a good poke around under neath on the 4 post ramp to make sure that all of the air ride install was good. Also gave it a good squirt inside anywhere I could get with some cavity wax whilst it was in the air.
    Also put the sunroof wind deflector that I've had in the shed for ages on, I think I like it!

    and everything works aswell electrical and mechanical .It also helps that I work at a motor factors otherwise I may not have purchased it,im too sensible perhaps.The 204bhp seems adequate but they seem to take to turbocharging so well.What kind of budget would I need? im also very sceptical of ebay kits aswell .Might just stick to suspension and breathing mods for now methinks.

    daveyboy reacted to VR6Pete in Ultimate Dubs club stand
    We did not announce the lineup for many reasons, although we did have a club stand indoors at Ultimate Dubs.
    We have been let down so badly by people who initially put their name down and then thought having a show and shine space was better, very disappointing as the position it puts the club in is not a good situation at all!
    We have lost count at the number of people wo committed to supporting the club and then dropping out, even as late as 2 days before the event, which as you can imagine is very difficult to fill those spaces.
    It has gotten so bad this year we are seriously considering not doing the show again as this year has not given the club a good reputation. @michael5556 has done a great job in trying to get people together but due to the amount of wasting of our time it really has left a bitter taste in our mouths.
    I cannot stress enough that if you commit to support the club you are doing just that, ditching us for going to show and shine after you committed to displaying with us is frustrating and puts us in a difficult position with the event organizers if we are turning up with a low number of cars, and not likely to be selected next year for an indoor spot.
    If we do decide to attend next year there will be a STRICT criteria on who will be allowed to put their car forward, these are some of the ideas I have had......
    1) The car must be built! - We have had too many people who wanted to display their car and then decide it will not be ready in time.
    2) You pay us the cost of a ticket price for yourself to secure your place on the stand - This will be refunded after the event, and is non returnable should you decide to withdraw your application.
    3) Accommodation must be booked at the venue unless staying at an alternative near by friends / your own home over the course of the weekend - People who are serious about attending the event would have planned accommodation well in advance due to popularity.
    4) You should be a registered forum member - Facebook is full of hopers and dreamers, the people who are serious about supporting the club will be active on the forum.
    Big thanks to those who did stick to their word and support the club and a big shout out to @michael5556 for doing his best in pulling off the display that we did have
    It would be a real shame if we didn't do a club stand next year as we have been doing the show for over 10 years, as you can appreciate we do this all in our time and we need our members support and co-operation but the stress of trying to organize this has made us question is it worth it.
    Really hope you guys decide to have an input on this as it is you that make the club and your input is vital to its success.

    Ok so couple of updates made the down pipe up .    pretty much done tacked it up where I wanted  sent it off to be fully welded  going to heat rap it tomorrow but really happy how it turned out with limited space. Also removed the washer bottle going to relocate it in the back with made room for the filter and maf, just bolted the header tank in there to check clearance.    looking abit sad.
