    as title, engine is smoking constantly on idle! not bad but enough to see it! was going to do headgasket as its weeping where it meets the block below the auxillery belt tensioner. but no oil is mixing with water yet (no mayo etc.....) golf vr6 obd1. any ideas which is causing smoke at idle? if engine i will just change it! regards

    as title, mine is smoking a bit on tick-over now so will change it! preferably something thats been rebuilt with reciepts and not overpriced! and chains done! close to south london!

    as title ive got a obd1 vr6 and over the years ive had a few obd2 vr6 guys come over! is it me or do they sound completely different to each other??

    ive got a vortec stage 2 ready to go on, i spoke to vince @ stealth for a long time about lowering the compression and he said i will get away with it.

    taken from a golf mk3 gti 16v, this is the version where the abs ecu sits under the passenger seat. wiring is mostly all there (i think it is), i had to snip a few wires where it joins into the main loom, if you know your electrics it should not be a problem! got to be worth £15 to someone! this is loom and the ecu. located west wickham in kent but can post for extra. 07773114069 is a contact number.

    as title, im after a passenger side rear quarter panel, yes there is one on ebay but i called the guy and he got proper weird about it. anyone point me in the right direction? its a mk3 vr6 3-door!

    same as mine, some places are decent but some places need sorting! mainly the jacking points where dumb asses in the past have jacked it up! there are some on ebay but im not sure?

    i need to do the door sills on my vr6 golf as there getting rusty, no point in fixing them, just going to cut them all out. what is the best place to buy them from?? are genuine vw ones avaliable still? any pictures of them fitted?

    im also doing this davey, is there an extra sprocket that runs the dizzy then internally??

    old topic but where can i get schimel 263's for the vr6 abroad for cheaper than over here?
