  1. About 3 hours and 6 hydraulic part shops. Just about see the crack in this photo. Gauges all mounted. Need a bit of tweaking to the wiring though. Cheeky boost controller. Big parcel arrived today... First one split. All packed up ready for refurbing tomorrow. Out of 64 bolts. None snapped but 4 rounded so will get some carbide drill bits and a helacoil
  2. Looks like inters is very achievable. All fuel lines connected. All coolant lines connect. Gauges are in but wired up incorrectly. It cranks over but not firing up. I suspect that injectors are not getting power. Attempt one. Flat battery Attempt two. Fuel leak Attempt three. Oil leak. Found that the 90 union for the turbo oil feed was damaged and spraying oil all over the turbo. Need a new 90 but struggling to get one at the minute. Pictures tomorrow.
  3. I would agree with what has been said above. Get one from a car with standard loom and ecu, keys, makes it all easier. And as for the emerald, the standard ecu is fine unless you want too mega tune it. If you insist on going stand alone then emerald is the way to go.
  4. Is it not insured? If not just take it too a dodgy phone shop as they do most repairs.
  5. Maybe we should make one?
  6. I may be going for the day but USC is the week after. It's also a long way for us northerners haha!
  7. Haha cheers mate. Need to give it all a paint before then too and give it the dreaded mot!!!
  8. Exhaust parts came today. Still need a sleeve and some new rubbers but it's basically on. Bosch 044 all wired in and all fuel lines done. Next on the list is coolant hoses and brake Lines. Gti international is the target...
  9. Gutted. Can you not re tap it? Maybe to a m10? I have one but the thread has also gone in it.
  10. Been shopping!! had to cut a part of the boost pipe off to get it all too fit. then this happened all boost pipes on and tightened up. power steering bottle and lines all mounted. dump valve also mounted. all a bit snug also bought a set of these to be refurbished. stay tuned for more..
  11. I just got one of eBay with new bearings. £6 lol
  12. Gearbox needs a bracket to sit correctly. Other than that get it all out of a mk4 or tt as said above. Then get out your grinder and get cutting!!
  13. Just trying to sort out the power steering lines and bottle and need some brake lines making up too. Issues! Lol
  14. Cleaning the rain gutters Had to buy a new belt tensioner as I was tightening up the tensioner to put the belt on the pulley, the thread decided it didn't want to hold anymore and I have miss placed my tapping set so new one of eBay. New vs. old. Old one being polished, new one is currently being polished. New coilpack cleaned up, painted and fitted.
  15. You can buy hose take off's http://www.cambridgemotorsport.com/Self-Sealing-Hose-Take-Off-Kits Something like that? Or can you not turn your turbo around? Or is it the manifold in the way?
  16. can you not get a different pedal box? depends how far you want to go really. can get a pedal box with master cylinder etc all on the box. you got any pics?
  17. Yeah it's a 19mm neck id filter and just get a blanking plug for the hose.R runs slightly rich for it because the maf has already accounted for the air which it's now not getting. You also get a slightly oily smell in the cabin...
  18. Updates... Boost pipes are almost done. Few more tweeks tonight and I will be happy with them. Fuel pump is in but I need to source some 12mm high pressure fuel pipe. All the body work got a bit of flatting down. I'm also on the lookout for a new grill and 2 alpine white wings please... Pictures. The front bumper need a few of the tabs at the top trimming off to fit properly as intercooler is in the way.
