  1. Yeah, that's sorted. It's all progress. Oil return is now leaking too. So will fix that today and then try again. It might be due to old fuel, or not enough fuel in the tank. But I think u can only fill 2 cans at a time...
  2. Bit different. Didn't want a boring car...
  3. Right after a good week or two of head scratching, made some progress Testing injectors Gauges finally wired up properly. Innovate wideband put the other two to shame. Fuel pressure regulator replumbed Got it started. At last. Short video clip. http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j438/michael5556/c504a151.mp4 Still idling a bit rough, any ideas?
  4. Right it's started... Fuel was getting no pressure which is wired, and when I went to give it slight throttle, fuel couldn't keep up so it stalled.
  5. That would be very helpful. Then I will get some software unless I figure it all out before I sort this. Lol
  6. Trying to find one now. Might have to be a trip to the scrap yard and see if they have any mk4's in.
  7. I don't have one. Would have to get one. It has a gauge but the need doesn't even move. Yeah sold as just need to add .... To get running.
  8. No vag.com, no obd port, that's why. And no it's not starting. Had a look inside ecu and all seems ok... But I'm not an expert so could be wrong. Yeah all sensors are fine. Going to take out can sensor and maybe crank sensor tomorrow and give them a clean. Other than I'm stumped.
  9. Right, injectors now working. Spark is working. So next thing is ecu. Had it apart and it all looks ok so need to borrow one to check if it fires with that.
  10. Yeah. Sorry my mistake. They are ford ones? Not sure why..
  11. Haha the coilpack was unplugged!! The test worked as nothing came out. So they are not working!
  12. All so attractive... See you at inters kids.
  13. Haha yeah it's a nightmare. Thanks, much appreciated. And I will keep this thread posted for other users as its usefull info. And ok will do. I've got a wideband gauge anyway so when its all running that should tell me how much I need. As for the intake I think they do an adapter. They make two but I think it's this one I need http://www.spturbo.com/onlinestore/index.php/volkswagen/mk3-94-98/vr6/sp-intake/stock-fuel-reg-adaptor.html Might resort back to that if I can't solve this problem.
  14. I think that's how it's set up. It's a schimmel short runner with fuel rail. I'm pretty sure you can but I think it's easier to run the adjustable. No I didn't think about chip. Will check it tomorrow. Thanks for help so far.
  15. Ok, plugs on order, it's been mapped by stealth. With the pump, it's a 4 pin switched relay One from battery One to earth it One from original fuel pump One from inline pump Using the adjustable fpr as it came with the engine etc and it has no fpr on the fuel rail anymore. It's obd2 And yeah 4" maf. Also found today injectors are not firing. New coilpack bought too.
  16. Bosch plugs, gapped to 0,7. 330cc green top. C2 software but mapped by stealth. Engine plug and ecu are both mint. Struggling to get the inline pump to stop priming. It just comes on with ignition and stays on... Also, adjustable fpr but don't know if it's open or closed as have no instructions....
  17. right, the vrt i have is deciding it doesnt want to fire up. I bought it with the sump off so have fitted new gasket, filled with oil, removed fuel pump relay and then cranked it over to get oil flowing as it had been sat for a while. put the fuel pump relay back in it now just cranks over but wont fire up. The coipack is only giving out 5 sparks, all different stengths so going to check the gas on them all. Had to replace one plug due to it not working. Bosch 044 fuel pump is not coming on now either which could also be a problem with fuel not getting through it if its not powered up? But i
  18. dont worry about it mate, these things happen. might of been damaged in transit or something. going to double check it today along with spark plug gaps.
  19. Haha definitely would have been emotional...
  20. Haha yeah I remembered. And thanks. I'm hoping its just the coilpack.
  21. About 3 hours and 6 hydraulic part shops. Just about see the crack in this photo. Gauges all mounted. Need a bit of tweaking to the wiring though. Cheeky boost controller. Big parcel arrived today... First one split. All packed up ready for refurbing tomorrow. Out of 64 bolts. None snapped but 4 rounded so will get some carbide drill bits and a helacoil and sort them tomorrow. Two wheels split so I can start with those for now. With the actual car, once the 90 degree fitting was sorted... Attempt 4. Battery is screwed Attempt 5. Still not starting. It's getting fuel but sparks not c
