    got home from work today and decided to start stripping the engine after finding oil in the water and come across this 1st pic....i thought that does`nt look right .... then i realised it was the top tensioner guide split in half and wedged between the chain and cover...then i dug a little deeper to find all of this just resting around the chains the other guides 2nd pic... i dont no how it was still running ... anyway ive removed the cams and was wondering if anyone knows...the lobes have shiny chrome like covering on the highest points but should this be all the way round the lobes all the

    hi mate no pics but it sits underneath the the big engine harness multi plug next to the coil pack as if you are pearing over looking at the manifold

    right i drained of all the oil out not one drop of water in it drained the water system flushed it took off oil cooler could`t really tell anything was wrong with it looks new and shiny put it all back together watched the water in exspansion tank and litle bubbles of oil coming to surface ahhhh...still runs ok whats going on ahhhh again....

    this should`nt make the door drop it just stops it from swinging right open if the doors dropping its probably the hinges ?

    sound fella......................... might sound silly but where what do i spray? 8-|. would`nt hurt to coat the whole lot i do once a month and use the c-spanner to wind the adjusters back a couple of threads and then back into position keeps them from seizing bit ocd but worth it i think lol

    yeah i was just getting thrown cos its all working still and not showing normal head gasket signs but i just got some goodys from tps both chains all guides an tensioner full engine gasket set and clutch kit got tomorrow of work so long weekend i think lol am i going to need a hoist?

    cant find any answers to this prob..... the other day when i was checking levels i noticed the coolant bottle had thick black oil in it i checked the engine no water in there it dosent over heat no performance drop nothing is there any thing else apart from head gasket where the oil could get into the water side of things any help would be great thanks....

    well its nearly been a month since the last meet are we going to stick to middle of the month ??and whats the plan for the next any ideas.........

    can anyone point me in the right direction i need 4 C rings for my fk supersports i dont think the previous owner maintained them so now i need to cut the top rings off and replace them the thread is is in good condition as is the locking C ring but iv`e tried all-sorts with no joy to remove the top one where the spring sits thanks in advance /////????\\\\\

    went with AF in the end CK couldnt offer the policy i needed even though there quote was good i got the full monty and more from adrian flux for less aswell the only down side to this was (sort of) having to get another cat 1 alarm fitted for the certificate to cover the value of the car with all the mods so in the end insured her for £5500 cos of all the mods for £637 f/comp with euro cover ,breakdown ,windscreen,and any car 3rd party and a few other bells well inpressed but will see when renewal comes next year,, and that was for a 35 year old with 1 yrs no claims
