  1. havent been on here in a while so better post some updated pics!
  2. lol i get spiders too! a big spider crawled out the dash while i was on the motorway and my g/f had a fit! she curled up in her seat crying! obv there was nothing i could do i was doing 70 on the motorway! haha i wish i had a camera the closer it crawled towards her the more she screamed!!
  3. tried that and it didnt seem to budge, didnt want to break it tho! oh well i'll try again! cheers buddy!
  4. how do i remove the centre air vents? the part that slides has come off and i can see it behind the dash through the air vent so need to get the air vent off and see if i can fish it out and re-attach it!
  5. they've quoted you for the wrong part i got mine only a few weeks ago! part number is... v1h1 721 321 ab 41 and its £21.61
  6. this happened to me few weeks ago! pain in the ass! i bought a new pedal from vw for £25 and it had the same crappy spot welds. let me know how you get on refitting it as i had alot of trouble getting the white nylon "washers/spacers" back on, was very tight! to re-fit the spring i compressed it in a vice then cable tied the spring so it stayed compressed fitted it in position then cut the cable ties.
  7. cool didnt really wanna spend that much on plugs but i guess i'll wait till payday and do it! only realised today the car hasnt been serviced in 3 years! presume you've got some nice red leads coming where you order them from? bay of e?
  8. yeh that was me! i am a bit heavy footed! i cant resist it just to listen to the vr roar! haha i was in halfords getting some spark plugs but the tools only do sets of 4! where do you work then?
  9. managed to get it half fixed today! just need to get the spring back in! i found there wasnt much detail about doing this job on the net so if any1 needs to do it a few useful tips from me would be... 1. on the end of the rod the pedal pivots on is a square metal washer, which is held in place by part of the washer that bends inside the hollow rod the pedal pivots on. use a small flat head screw driver to lift the part of washer locking it in place. the washer will then slide off easily. 2. the spring is a pain in the ***! but youjust have to use force, with the pedal on the floor again use a
