  2. Your loom is the old type, the inpro are the new type, you can get plug and play adapters or rewire it yourself.
  3. The price hikes on food are totally ridiculous, we didn't really get much extra, I know for a fact actually cos we do the self scan, we got about £25 extra of stuff, the end price was £60 more! So the rest of the normal items of shopping as a whole had £35 extra spread across it. Makes me so mad!!
  4. Much better idea, youll prob get less issues with a VRT, badum chhh
  5. when mine went i put it in a bucket of water and blew in one tube while plugging the other, bubbles ensued.
  6. I thought oil cooler but condensation is the first most likely thing
  7. first off spray your coilpack with a fine mist of water in the dark and look for arcing, it sounds like this could be your missing and cutting, also check the leads and plugs, arcing out anywhere from coilpack to plugs is fairly common. As for water leaking have you stuck a clean piece of card under your car when its left and seen if there's any witness marks on it? This would pinpoint where you need to look if there's a leak. Also check every hose and join and clip for pink powder, the coolant does this to indicate there is a leak and also to try and seal it up if its only small, if you fin
  8. I did this with a DA polisher when I had an A3, green lake country pad and menzerna final finish polish, before it looked like it had been washed with a stiff floor brush
  9. Yea I think it was him, it was a G60, I told him to advertise it on here haha
  10. Was it you that pulled up one day when i was washing it and asked me if i wanted to buy the red rado then?
  11. Ah lol doh you lived like 20 yards up the road from me then, always parked in the laybay on the top of the hill yea?
  12. No I havent, my Vrs been parked up for quite a while living undercover so hasnt been out too much no, mostly its just gone from home to hornbeam and back again, not many rados round here either, didnt realise you were from harrogate too mate. I dont think ive seen yours about, Id remember the black wheels.
  13. Big VR and no PAS = 17inch forearms lol
  14. Yea I looked at them but just too much moneys
  15. Little heads up then the golf needed the L size with a 3 series pic on it so the longer vento will prob need the XL "5 series" one
  16. basically it rotates the same direction that the wheels would going forward on each side
  17. Having done this myself I do always like to see others delving into full sill, floor and arch butchery
  18. I will highly recommend the halfords advanced cover if covering your car up and it lives outside, the 3 strong straps and buckles laughed in the face of the wind and rain, the Clarke one lasted ok in summer but did get a tear in it where the elasticated edge was stitched on in a summer breeze. The halfords one also feels softer inside. To summarise, I still wish I just had a garage.
  19. If you are going that route lift it out with the front off is the easiest, the entire front end comes off in 6 bolts, the worst part is wrangling the gearbox out in situ, I would take the whole lot out still together. Dunno about 7 hours I did headgasket, full chains and clutch and ended up taking about 2 weeks lol, did get quite sidetracked with anything I decided needed doing on the way though, and had to remove and reinstall the gearbox twice though (the worst job of it all with the block still in the car!) as my flywheel was no longer flat so with the new clutch was shaking like a shittin
  20. One of the Meg's DA polishers aren't too expensive. Then just a green pad and a final finish polish will take care of all but the worst swirls. You have to be totally wreckless to wreck your paint then.
  21. Well, good news, the scratches while they looked horrendous were actually just surface, they came out with a microfibre by hand
  22. Does yours not have te shield that should be there?
  23. Yea I ended up using loctite high temp copper sealant, I thought it was so good I will be using it every time from now on. Better than my previous favourite, bosal exhaust cement.
  24. It seems none are a fit up and fasten for the VR, I had to fuck about with my jetex to get it to seal up to the cat
