  1. Finally got a chance to try the Vr6 in the mk2 and it was certainly a bit disappointing, it started with not making the test day so each run was to be a test and fault find 1st run we ran 14.1 @ 93mph (we forgot to change the tacho wires to tell it shes a 6 cylinder) 2nd run 13.8 @ 93mph (moving in the right direction shifting at 6k) 3rd run 14.1 @ 93mph (tried a 6.5k shift light but that was over the limiters) 4th run 13.7 @ 95mph (6.3k limiter set, good launch and good gears) 5th run 14.2 @ 88mph (missed 4th gear and was on the trailer) Every run was a 1.8 60ft which is good considering the

  13. No no no, do no waste money on R888's they are a track tyre, with solid sidewalls, also they do not build enough heat in the tyres fast enough. Your better off with a set of old worn tyres, they will spead out when pressure left out and can be made sticky with a good burnout, My old mk3 vr ran 14.3's, she had an air filter and decat back exhaust and just the front and rear seats removed. I used to just buy GTI alloys with tyres which would cost pennies. If your at GTI fest this weekend, we'll get you in the 14s
  14. 870cc's on my 20v lol, which will end up in the rolling shell now, yay 600bhp fwd on the road, the vr6 will go into the mk2 race car and remain up for sale, so i can build the dragster
  15. well the only pump i have is a bosch 044 fuel pump, i can ajust the fuel pressure to what ever the car requires hence needing to know what it runs at,
  16. right i can't sell my mk3 vr6 for love nor money, so im gonna put the engine into my race car for a little bit, when you guys do a mk2 conversion do you retain the standard exhaust manifold, does it fit ok on a mk2? buying a 6 branch manifold, i see them available for the mk3 but not seen any for the mk2, related really above, are they kinda universal? what fuel pressure does the vr6 run at? is there a fuel pump under the car or is it all intank?, (as my race car has a fuel cell so have to make sumit up) many thanks
