  1. Hi guys, Basically my new 6 branch manifold should be here in the next few days and I'm wanting people's opinions/views good or bad on whether the manifold should be heat wrapped or not? Iv heard stories about boiling brake fluid up if left unwrapped but I think that must have been in an extreme case maybe, I will await your views on this

  18. I should really update this thread with some progress and pictures once I have uploaded them, as it stands the engine bay has been smoothed, not fully but just the chassis legs and inner wing areas I'm just in the final stages of sanding down which has taken alot of hours in the past couple of weeks, hoping to get some primer on soon and a few coats of paint. Also what's been happening this week as follows - Purchased 3.2 ecu which arrived today Sent all my looms away to have a custom vr6/r32 loom created Clutch kit and new front engine mount arrived Parcel of new bolts/washers from vw arrived

    Estates

I must admit I have been looking at a few a4 avant s line tdi of recent simply because of the drop in prices for some unknown reason, alot of car for very reasonable money, 3-5k will get a nice example. If I had a bit more budget the obvious choice for me would be the r36 estate, amazing car just a tad thirsty
  22. Stick with the golf front, much better in my opinion,
