  1. I can recommend the dubpower products, I'm running the 24v conversion manifold on mine, great fit, looks and sounds the part too, just awaiting a rolling road session to see what increase over std it has gained. :-)
  2. Finally got the audio wiring all tidied up combined with some sound deadening before bolting in the rear seats with the required bracket I was initially missing, if I'm honest I wanted a break from the dash side of things. :-) Didn't get any pics of the framework but knocked up a false floor to hide my battery and my audio equipment, recovered with the original boot carpet and trimmed to suit.
  3. Just applied for the show and shine this eve, if pre booking for show and shine you get free weekend entry to the show. Get applying guys :-)
  4. Should be fine, I ran 312's under my porsche silver roses which are similar with no issues. Worst case is that you may need a 3mm spacer.
  5. Glovebox also arrived now, The upper dash is now finally bolted into the correct position using the custom brackets I had made up, These were done in 4mm steel and cut to suit the TT dash and old dash support on the mk3.
  6. Having some issues with trying to book one of the hotels that has been allocated, I've sent a number of emails to the organisers asking for there paypal details to send payment and make the booking but heard nothing back at all, anybody else booked or having an issue? :-)
  7. Couple more bits arrived to complete the TT dash install, Radio/heater controls cage Nearside and offside dash end caps
  8. Good to see the different stages involved with the dash and door cards dougie, some nice touches with the switch/vents delete.
  9. There Mercedes wheels, cant remember the name but believe they came fitted to early Mercedes slk's
  10. You need to use a combination of 12v and 24v looms and splice them together to create a bespoke loom :-)
  11. Poor boys and auto finesse mainly inside and out. Mothers mag polish for the wheels
  12. Cheers lukey, Yeah could have had one of those or a mk4/mk5 r32 but prefer a unique mk3 for sunny days and shows, plenty more still in the pipeline :-) The new daily is going to be an 8p a3 anyway in tdi form tho.
  13. So today I managed to get stuck in with fitting the rest of the interior, Front door cards all fitted with new door card clips, Next up was to remove the existing dashboard To make way for this, Just having a trial fit at the moment as I need to fabricate a couple of brackets but it gives you an idea of how it will look, the dash certainly transformed the whole look of the interior for me, very happy with the direction it's going in, here's a few pics,
  14. As some members already are aware I had a very special interior lined up which I collected on Friday. I took the long drive up to Dunfermline to pick this cargo up which ended up in a 1200 mile round trip with some challenging driving conditions in the snow and great scenery in 24hr road trip. Couple of pics from the journey The new interior comprises of Recaro CS seats fully re trimmed, matching rear seats, custom door cards, parcel shelf, Golf anniversary seatbelt set and a Audi TT dash setup. Fitted my focal components prior to door card installation too. Will get more pics and updat
  15. So the mk3 saw the daylight last week, took it out for a short test drive to check wheel/arch clearance, luckily no issues to report at the moment however it has no interior and an almost empty fuel tank at the moment . Ordered these from Germany, really wanted a set of original RH centre caps to match the polished lips and very impressed with the delivery, only took 4 days from ordering. Finished article

    TT dash

How's the dash going? Do you know how they have got around the tt handbrake being offset? Did the mounting points need relocating and welding? Sorry for all the questions I'm about to start my swap next weekend :-)

    TT dash

Cool, what are you choosing re heater controls? Climate control or the rare manual heater dials similar to the mk3?

    TT dash

Looks good, what crash bar is being used? Mk3 or tt item? Or not using one and running custom brackets? Cheers
