    I bought the misses a vr on saturday, with a central locking fault. It locks everything when the key is in the lock, but won't un-lock anything when you turn the key. You can't hear the pump working, but if the key is held it winds the windows down. I've replaced the drivers door actuator, because i thought it was that, and replaced the central locking pump, but neither have seemed to do the trick. This is really doing my head in, just can't think what it is?! The car is a 1996 3 door.

    Which tuners have you spoken to? The suspension is going to improve the handling fact. Ash bungy on here, can't remember which kit he's got, but i think he's happy with the way they handle. Any car, when tuned, probably becomes less reilable, just because of the fact that your trying to get the most out of the stock engine.

    Good vid mate, you can hear everything, just how it should be, ROARING!!! What are you doing about your wastegate fella? Did you get a spring for it in the end?

    I thought that the pairing made a difference when i fitted both to mine a while back. The throttle body has a different pedal feel to it too.

    I think that they might use koni dampers in those kits, you could try them too mate.

    You need to remove 2 nuts from inside the boot, then jack the car up, remove the bottom bolt from the strut then the whole unit should come out. If you've taken the 3rd nut off you might have to compress the spring, as thats the nut that holds the top cup on the spring.

    Probably best to change the whole oil pump.

    Great car fella, i think an intercooler really suits the vr front end, love it!!!

    The rears will probably be fine, but the fronts won't be able to handle the extra weight of the vr lump.

    Blimey!!! Glad no'ones seriously hurt, must have shaken them up a bit! The roads are a bit slippery after all the sun we've had, and now its raining, it can make driving a bit sketchy. Nice to have you back mate :-)
