  1. North Wales is ridden with invizzy-bizzymobiles. They hang around on the a5 alot. And of course the motor-mecca that is the horseshoe pass. (Ponderossa does great food)
  2. I have a Jetex on my VR, really nice noise but not too loud. I had a Scorpion straight thru before that, it was MEGA loud and really annoying, but the car was quicker with it on.
  3. Yes, your right, There is an adaptor piece. I bought my raceland 6 branch from a mote and it came with it. I expect it does if you by a brand new one as well.
  4. The 6 branch really sounds good, but doesn't make it louder, which is good in my book.. Mine is heat wrapped so its a really warm note, if you know what I mean. Really sings on full belt. Still got the standard cat in, considering a sports cat, but would not decat it. The mods have given it more top end grunt as expected, but also feels more torquey from about 3000 revs, so not going to mess too much now. I think a decat might loose some of that mid range pull.
  5. Update on this. Raddo inlet manifold, raddo throttle body, 6 branch manifold and vibratech front engine mount all now on. Big difference, 3rd gear is awesome!! Mount is great, not to rough like some reports, cornering improved big time and ripido off the mark. All in all definitely worthwhile mods, I am glad I collected the bargains as they become available. New tyres and poly exhaust mounts (Jetex too heavy for standards) tomorrow, then cams and remap next!! Hopefully in time for Inters.
  6. Hello All, Just checking with the masses before I go ahead. I can't see any reason whay I can't put a Miltek sports cat in-between my raceland 6 branch and my Jetex 2 box system, can you? Should all fit and work ok shouldn't it? Any comments or help appreciated.
  7. danie_jc quality choice!!! Manowar!!! I have got Orange Goblin - Coup de Grace in at the moment.
  8. I am just about to go down the 6 branch, raddo inlet and tb road. When you talking about solid front engine mounts, is it literally solid? I was planning on a Vibratech front mount? Would this help battle twisting at the 6 branch joints?
  9. From reading around on here, Turbo will give you the biggest power gain, followed by charger. You talking proper money though. I think if you plan to turbo yours, it is wise to strengthen the engine as much as poss first, extra cost. I guess the same goes for charging it, but the power gains are less, so might not be as necessary. One thing I noticed watching the various VR's on the strip at GTI International was that the turbo'd ones seemed to have way more power than traction, Masses of wheel spin at lift off. Personally I am planning a charger to arounbd 289bhp ish. I think that might be q
  10. yes, your right, but a remap does help. My old VR was standard apart from a filter but had a remap from AmD and it was noticbly quicker than standard ones I drove. I am going doen the cams, inlet mani and throttle body route before I get a remap on my current VR,
  11. I have heard Stealth is good, they are not far from Cov. I am planning on taking mine there for a remap, I live in North Wales.
  12. Cool, going to check that out. Are Neuspeed ok? Was thinking about the Dougherty ones but 168 pounds good!

Hi Mate. I have a 2.9 throttle boddy and manifold to go on mine in the next couple of weeks, I will let you know if it makes any odds. I have a bored out and polished obd throttle body on a standard manifold and the moment and that opened up the top of the rev range a bit.
  14. I'm in, can probably rustle up a couple of other 6 pot lovers from this neck of the woods too.
  15. Thanks Craggsy, will put that in. Two scoops, I will let you know how it is once in the engine. Oil temps etc.
