  1. How much are you wanting for it? I've got a mate who gets about so could ask if he's in your area in the next few weeks. He's a delivery driver so it could be any time of day though? I also know a guy who owns a garage and he's offered to weld it just to get me buy until I find a secondhand stainless system. So have a couple of options
  2. Hi all My 4mo standard system has started to leak. Sounds soooo much nicer! Has anybody got a stainess system for sale? or could you recommend a good budget system? Moneys tight we've got 2 kids and apparently my misses has decided i'm marrying her next year So i have to be realistic when it comes to the price! Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
  3. Pity you didn't reply when i first posted I'm now aware its a common fault thanks to Google but couldn't find anything on here which is why i've added to the thread tonight incase others are in the same boat as me. Can you supply the parts needed? If you can it may help someone who searches for this in the future.
  4. I've just got round to sorting this problem out. Just in case anybody has the same problem i thought i would post it on here. When parked in Mcdonalds with the engine running and aircon on which wasn't working very well, the car started to overheat. Luckly i noticed and turned the engine off. The car never overheats. It turns out the problem is the low speed resistors in the fans fail which blows the fuse on top of the battery and stops the fans working completely. You can tell if yours are faulty buy turning the aircon on when the engine is cold. The fans should run at low speed if the airco
  5. Hi all After watching the temp gauge rise whilst sat in Mcdonalds waiting for my order and thinking to myself the aircon is a bit warm i decided to check if the fans where working on the rad and if the 40a fuse was blown . I'm sure you all know what the answer is Luckly i seen the temp so it didnt get to hot and the mcdonalds i was in is by a bypass so took it for some cooling air before going home. Any how i have read its the resistor's in the fans so i'm ready to strip the front end and replace them but VW are saying my 4mo on a 51plate but 2002 doesn't have resistors in the fans and the f
  6. Thanks bungy. Just been out to the car and the light is off! Hopefully it stays off until we get home. I didn't need to disconnect the battery but I will bare that in mind
  7. I'm in Newcastle visiting family and the engine light came on today on my 4motion I don't seam to be having any misfire but to be honest I have a 3month old daughter so don't really push the car. Any common faults? We are traveling back on Thursday morning! As soon as I get home I can get it pluged in. (doesn't really help me now though)
  8. Look at the pic before you read the comments! Then look again
  9. My misses is getting 26mpg out of ours. Thats including my trips to the shops at night :-p which happen often and fast. I recently went to newcastle 270miles at above 85mph (Very long Private road obviously) I was averaging over 29 i think it was 29.7 I also brimmed the tank tonight so i will let you know what the misses gets out of it in about 2 weeks time.
  10. Anybody taken theres flat out with a satnav so they get an accurate speed? One of my mates did in his skyline. The clock was way out at that speed. Next time i see him i will ask.
  11. Yep thats it there is a really long Private road 8-) The wheels are Team Dynamics. Not sure if they are 1.2's I got back from newcastle today. So gave her a quick wash and took some more pics. Wet and light fading :S
  12. She got me to Newcastle today with no probs. 270miles mostly above 85mph 29.7mpg
  13. I'm not to keen on the wood. So the Brushed alloy might find its way inside. Although i'm tight so will be looking for a bargain! Clare loved the sound of the k&n on our GTI and wants one on the 4mo. I have been told this can cause problems with afm's anyone know if this is true? I would like to lower it a little bit but have been told no. (@) The mats are missing so need replacing asap. Delocking if the boss says she is happy with that :-p I'm sure more will follow
  14. The misses is up the duff. I will kill em if i found out who it is!!! Anyway we decided our mk3 8v gti had eaten enough gearboxes and we needed a new car to last a few years. as when the baby arrives i'm sure we wont have the money to do it. So me being sensable and petrol being so cheap i went for a 4motion 8-) 8-) It's not going to be modded a great deal, just a few subtle changes. The wheels aren't really my thing but will do for now. The spec is below Multi function wheel parking sensors in the bottom valance on the rear bumper. oem i think. cruise control. No stalk as on the wheel Black
  15. I think this is the way forward :-p
