Must be the difference between early 280 setup and later 288 or something? 
I have gti arms on my VR now that I am building from ground up (came off my low milage 1998 colour concept) and they are identical..
(even compared to the old vr ones just incase)

The cups are the bokt on type on the DZL box, so you can run 100mm or 108mm cups.. whichever match ur shafts.
The starter has 1 hole that needs drilling out iirc if u keep the vr6 one, otherwise the v5 will do fine but u need the bolt then as its threaded I think.. been a whike since doing mine, but its pretty much identical.. would reccomend a diesel 5th though..

Hi up for sale is my mk3 golf vr6 
On a N plate so 1996
It has 89K on the clock very low mileage for the age,
Full VW Service history 
MoT till April 2017. No advisories
The car is in flash red and still in very good condition,2 owners from new
The Golf has the usual VR6 refinements including power steering, ABS, driver and passenger front airbags, VR6 side skirts & rear roof spoiler, rear high-level brake light, electric tilt/slide sunroof, electric windows with full closure, electric colour-coded door mirrors, trip computer/driver information system, height adjustable steering column, colour-coded bumpers Rare recaro interior in excellent condition
On the standard vr6 bbs wheels. 
Other than that the car is very much original car would make nice show car
Volkswagen alarm and immobiliser (2 keys and fob, DAB radio mp3 and CD/DVD
As you'd expect from a car this age it does have its bad points and small bubbles appearing on wing
A few stone chips on the front
Other than that it is a good genuine VR6 that pulls strong through all the gears with no nasty crunches or whines from the gearbox

As above, I was dubious about that amount of money on some pretty coloured poly/rubber under my car that I wont even see.. 
 
Now I wont be without them. Make a huge difference and give the old VRs a new car feel with tightness on the road. 
 
Same with engine mounts, vibratech ones compared to standard is just ridiculous.. but all worth it for a keeper car..

Hi all, have for sale Brand New unused and still in box/packaging one Neuspeed induction Kit, comes complete with everything you need/require to install, including heat shield, instructions etc. I nice easy install with actual power gains of between 5/8 BHP. According to Neuspeed...
To fit all MK3 Golf VR6's. (and Vento's)  Paid £136 for it (From Awesome GTi)
Asking £80 cash on collection, or £90 posted.
Reason for sale, going a different route now with the car so no longer required.

Ive had mine years.. got red, yellow and blue.. all go flat.
Usually leave them hooked up as auxilary power in boot of car for a few days and they take a charge and come back to life.

Think we all knew that answer was coming

The 6mm spacers go between the actual hub and carrier. I packed mine out with 3 washers per bolt. You need longer bolts to gold the carriers as well (6mm longer than standard, just measure yours and get them off ebay)
The spacers are needed for any mk4 based brake conversion onto a mk3 platform as far as I know.
323 cupra r discs and brembos fit perfectly behind TT comps.
TT comps are et32 and 7 or 7.5j iirc..
I would show u pics of the spacers and where they go etc but my car is now a bare shell haha..

Heat gunned the wax off my bay and inner wings last week.. very satisfying but bored the life outta me.
I'd say a heat gun and scraper for under seal possibly, but am leaving mine on and having an OEM ish type look under my car. Just colour coded.

I had mine done by hotgolf top bloke I would recommend him very highly.

So here is Novembers feature car. This is a personal favourite of mine and a true inspiration. The attention to detail on this car is unreal. It's latest makeover is somewhat controversial with the diehard fans but here at the VR6OC, we love it for its brashness and how much Dougie dared to be different. 1993 1.4 cl with 3.0 fully forged vr6 turbo, atp manifold and downpipe with gt35, huber rensport inlet with hidden boost pipes and 630cc injectors. O2m with pd 130 gearset and LSD, sqs sequishift, obp floor mounted pedal box with twin brake servos. Brakes are pb, 6 pot all round, 345 front and 330 rear. Rayvern fluid displacement suspension with raised turrets and notch for extra clearance. Wheels are bbs lm, 8x17 et 25 with 195/40/17 Falkens Interior has full safety devices cage with heated retrimed recaro pole positions, audi tt dash, smoothed with iPad mini for display and gfb boost controler where heater controls should be. Exterior is full us spec with projekt Zwo mirrors and abt lip, tt cap, flush washer jets and a6 handles, sill line smoothed and underside fully detailed and coated.

The Cupra R 323 Brembos fit behind TT comp 17s easily with no wheel spacers on a mk3. you can even upgrade to bigger bells n rotors if you want.. like the 330 2 piece Cupra upgrades you can get. Less weight, better performance and look slutty..   

The boxster calipers are a bit wider iirc??  needing spacers on more types of wheels..  

All you need to bolt the Cupra Brembos to a mk3 if some washers or spacers to pack out the carriers by 6mm..  I used 3x normal 2mm spacers per bolt either side.. Then just bend the dust guard thing behind the discs back by about 1 mm as it touches the mk4/ cupra platform discs..
