  1. That's what's done to mine with the HRC pump but because the pump is slightly different shape to OE one it doesn't seal properly in the swirl pot.
  2. Only seeing this thread now after I replied to your pm....Matty more or less said what I said to you! Those with intank Walbro's....is the swirl pot sealed so you can run the tank nearly empty? Or is less than 1/4 tank a problem?
  3. Are the cams different between AUE and BDE Adam?
  4. Pity they don't do 24v or r32 cams They're still cheap for 12v. As a rule of thumb for importing stuff from the States I always add 25% to the total, that keeps you on the right side of it normally. Allows for 20% vat, 3% import duty and the courier handling fee.
  5. Never knew that! Never did cause me any issues though!
  6. I've run ATF in the past with no issues tbh
  7. What fluid had you in that was wrong?
  8. Spend the money mate, best £20 you'll spend when working round these engines.
  9. I'll send one of mine if it helps, next time I have the laptop out
  10. Depends on your tester I suppose. Over here in NI it could go either way but I asked last time I was in and they said as long as everything was removed it wouldn't be a problem. So it's not just a track car then?
  11. It wil not fit, no. Inlet ports are smaller on v6 4 motion
  12. If it's a track car especially, pull the abs out if it and fit a bias valve! ABS and mk3's have a bad relationship lol
  13. Some resto! Great work! Always wanted an S8 ever since watching Ronin for the first time
  14. Awesomeness!! Hope you're bringing this over to Dubshed next year???!!
  15. Love it! Congrats, we'll deserved!
  16. They will click and then click again, make sure they are well on. If you haven't got the proper metal tool carefully use a flat screwdriver to push them right on. Sometimes you think they are pushed on when they arent.
  17. Nightmare mate, least it was only the wheel and she didn't take the side out of you.
  18. Have a read through this, might give you some pointers although it's not Haldex, it's a Syncro conversion - http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4977281-Complete-step-by-step-Swapping-a-syncro-to-a-MK3.&highlight=syncro
  19. Dont think so matey, the arms looked totally different if i remember right. Im aware of the Dutchbuild cradle but it's stupidly overpriced for something that looks like I made myself lol. Axles/driveshafts may be similar but rear suspension setup is totally different therefore hubs etc are different. Paul Parky, Tony and United Motorsport would be best on this thread as they have all done it and know exactly what components to use.
  20. Nope! Hub splines are exactly the same The only parts really of any use to you from the AWD on the mk4 is the haldex diff and controller from what i can make out...all the rest needs to be Syncro parts from what i can gather
