  1. I've run them the past three years, albeit not that many miles. Good job but as said above, dont make it any easier to adjust but give you up to -4 degrees ** EDIT.... mine are actually H&R which give you up to -4 degrees, Eibach I think give you -3?
  2. Dead right Bungy, be lost without them and would have been, several times at the Pod especially lol
  3. Cheers guys, thanks for the encouragement. Boost pipes are all stainless in my old setup and will be in my new setup. I used as few joins with silicone as I could manage but yes there are some in there, just out of sight. The piping I use is mostly 316 dairy/food grade Stainless which I source from a dairy supplies company. Always tig welded after i make them up for neatness and strength Here's another wee pipe I made up this week to relocate maf and air filter on a Supercharged mk3 12v VR. Guy wanted it out of the puddles lol;
  4. So in which way should you have raised it then? By means of welding it further to the left of the subframe or by means of a filler piece etween mounting cup and subframe? Just curious as I don't want to Mae same mistake.
  5. Since April last year I have changed or added the following, no pics but will do in due course; Fitted wideband Fitted UM SRI Changed air filter again lol Changed mk4 Recaros to Pole Position Recaros with seat backs matching wheel centres Painted cage same colour as wheel centres Replaced door cards with retrimmed jobbies again New front bumper with no plate recess but with swage line Machined one rear disc down 5mm to given more wheel clearance on one side due to mk3 offset axle That was up to Septemer last year. I then sold my complete 12v setup and have the following list waiting for me to
  6. This is only up until last April or so, haven't updated a thread anywhere since. Worst in the world at remembering to take pics then upload them and keep a build thread going :-p Some of this may seem a bit erratic and random but it is copied and pasted from another forum I'll get straight into it anyway from the earliest pics I have... I did it kinda arse about face in that I had the engine and box etc before I had the car lol Stripped the engine, box and subframe parts of all ancilliaries, rubbed them all down and painted them in my mother in law's garage, much to her dismay lol. This was
  7. Did you not have your gearbox adapter mount modified to bolt to the end of the casing? I thought I read somewhere that you had welded a piece onto the original UM mount so it was actually bolted with 4 bolts? Been wondering if this is a strong enough setup myself....considered a mount on the chassis leg like the mk4 one but maybe dogbone mount plus adapter mount would be ok...
  8. Show was fapping excellent! I personally didn't get to see much as an organiser but MJVR6 off here made the trip over with two other cars from London and had an absolute ball. 12. Come on peeps, some more VR6OC rep would be good! Not fair that Helen does it all on her own, and have to listen to MJ all weekend!!
  13. Nice update Building my 02M DRP with ERF TDi gearing at the minute, I thought the DRP gearing was very short, especially for turbo!
  14. You should fly over this year for a preview then
  15. Last day to get the entries in for an indoor spot folks!! Get them in at www.dubshed.com Any problems just email your entry to dubshed@gtini.com This includes you Helen!! Lol Cheap weekend if you guys come with MJ!
  16. Not sure about the spherical thing!
  17. Have a set of these sitting to go onto mine. The wiring needs spliced and the plugs are different as far as I know. Wires are different colours too. Blue tinted and heated glass is definitely available as I had a set on my Bora years ago. There was a DIY on Edition 38 but it got removed for some reason.
  18. Looks like an anti hijack button for an alarm
  19. From the mk4 they will need the loom between ecu and 14 pin plug on chassis leg plus as long tails from other side of that plug as far as you can cut them back, plus loom that goes to clutch, brake and throttle pedal switches. That's as far as the mk4 goes, you will then need an OBD1 VR management loom to mate into. That's as far as I can remember, need to freshen my memory though.
  20. I am currently building a 2.8 24v BDE turbo for mine, should be alive in three weeks all being well... United Motorsport are doing my looms for me.
