    D/C'd the battery and cleaned the TB. Just spent the past 40 minutes in stop start traffic restarting the engine. Scanned the ECU for fault codes and there were none. I've gone over all vac points ect for air leaks. Now, there are none. At a bit of a loss now. If it keeps doing this, the passat will go on the road and I'll be scrapping the Golf. There are just too many issues popping up all the time.

    Hi all. New problem this time. No matter where or how quick, the engine, after being revved cuts out. This only happens though after it has exceeded its idle speed in neutral or if i depress the clutch till the revs would hit idle.... then it just cuts out but will start again strait away. Im guessing an idle sensor issue, where on OBD2 is this located? CHEERS

    Yes, there are 2 types of cat. The length is the only difference. Lambdas, there is only 1 type unless you delve into serious engine mods/forced induction.

    No damp floor though? Have you had her serviced recently? Pollen filter?

    Have you checked both front footwells by the center console for wet/damp carpets?

    I've looked after around 20 gunshot victims. Most of who were shot in the abdomin. That requires, no matter where in the abdomin they were shot, an exploritory laporotomy. Most need a stoma because of damage to the intestines. You CAN'T get shot in the abdomin and have it miss everything but your skin layer, you just can not. Still, should that have happened, I'm chuffed for him.

    I don't know about that one matey, but there was one one road wars the other week.... the coppers pull up in an unmarked vectra and the golf VR6 blitzed off...... the narration stated it as "a super fast VR6"

    Well, I can't make this now. I'm sorry for messing you all around. Bottom line: Car now works but is very jerky. Very low on power. Blowing blue smoke, very badly under load. I asked the garage owner to do a compression test on the day we'd put the engine together and he forgot. The money for this event is keeping me on the road because I've just ordered some piston rings...... they are the reason I'm low down on power and lacking money to do the event. Very sorry chaps. Other than that, there is a free ticket to this event if anyone would like it?

    Brown one connets to a brown sensor on the thermostat housing.... under the coilpack, toward you. The second looks like the aircon pump plug. Just check that the alternator has its plug too.

    Right then, just having a nosey to see whats going to be taken by everyone. I dont have the funds to buy cooking equipment but i can contribute to it.. charcoal and maybe some of those gas cans for the stove. Anyone else taking stuff?
