Hmm. Yeah, found some oldies that bought back some memories from some terrific times. Not a lot really, but I look back on owning my VR6 and never forget how cracking the company was, the atmosphere and the laughs. Does anyone have any other memorable moments? And finally, Haha.

I bought a race clutch off ebay. £120 new. Was, if anything, a normal road clutch. He has no reciepts, evidence of broken glass, wood work screws, soaked carpets, potential accident damage and it was pre warmed before you arrived. Sounds worse than my old VR6 and that was repaired on the cheap. Walk away.. Have you checked other websites like ed38 on their stolen forum?. It could be be completely legitimate. You have all those problems with it. The charger is is ridiculously hard to find parts for and is used. No brainer really. -
Yeah. I thought that too. I did look at the Galaxy V6 and would have had one tomorrow at 68k, unfortunately the sodding galaxy has 7 seats and only 5 3 point seatbelts. Talk about stupid design. The Sharan has 7 seats all with 3 point seatbelts, so I'm back into that limited waiting game again.

Well guys and girls, I've been looking for a Sharan VR6 or V6 and I have to say that there is next to nothing available. My Passat is a 2005 B5.5 1.9 PD TDI estate. It has 127k. Full S/H. There are 3 V6 Sharans that I've been looking at. 1) 91k at £1,790 in London. 2) 105k at £1,350 in London. 3) 98k at £1,990 in Bedford. I've been to look at number 3 a few weeks ago. Rang the boss up and asked him if he'd take my Passat and do a strait swap with some tax and fuel. He asked what my Passat was and after telling him that it was an 05 facelift model, he agreed to see it. So, I went down, cold

I was bested by a 182 back when I had my 3door. Then I had Dlea's 5 door shell with Ben Seabrooks pretty tight engine. That one shifted a lot better. Then, one day after a good drive, I rolled through some lights in 2nd gear, past a stationary mondeo TDI and he killed me. If I'd ever had the money to do so, I would have stuck a turbo on her and an LSD. Again though, the noise makes up for those losses.

Mr Darko. Towards the end, a man has his shoe laces tied and can run no further. Sweets dunked in caramel make a good substitute for barbed wire on boxing gloves.

They forgot that our road system can't handle anything that can't go through a pothole.

Yep. I would too. Sat at some traffic lights on J2 of the M6 a few months back, I had a guy pull up next to me in one. Music blasting out of all windows. Him looking round at everyone with a big grin on his face. I was sat there in a V6 synchro passat. He looked over and I shouted V8 mate?. "Nah bruv it's da V10 twin turbo, ya get me bruv?, wots in dat?" "Oh right, just a standard V6" Lights hit amber. "Poo den, yeah" Lights hit green. Despite this, I floored it, all 4 wheels kicked in. He floored it and flew past me like he was in Andy Waites MK1 golf and I was in a KA. OMG the noise!!!!!!!

My old 5 door got driven well every day. The only time I was actually concerned about fuel and pushing it, was trying to keep up with Craggsy, Martin, Sal and Tony on the way to Plymouth back in 2010 lol. No, no speeding, just making quick overtakes on the M5. Good old days.

As above. Happy Christmas and have a great new years celebration. Hope you all have your fill of food and BEER and gifts. I'm leaving a 2x4 meter space in my stocking for a VR, Fingers crossed. Enjoy boys and girls. Love from me, Mrs Monk and the monklettes.

I out accelerated an RX8 from 30 coming off an island once. I stopped at 70 and he carried on going. I was suprised by the lack of power/speed from the 8 and it appeared he was too. An ST will out perform the VR6. I played with a few several times when I owned my VR6 (183bhp 206f/lb) and coming close but being out done.

It's been 6 painful months since I had to leave the VR6 experience behind. As much I don't like thinking about it (yes, I would go and buy one now if my girlfriend allowed), a lot of the music I listen to stirs thoughts from their safe place. I found that on the Club camping events, Nigel (the Goth), had similar tastes in music (epic dancing!!) and there are a few songs I listen to regularly that remind me of GTI International 2009 and a few other events afterward. oMLCrzy9TEs That is one of the main culprits. I notice the dancing guy also, coincidentally looks like JK. The other is "The Pro

Backwards world. Rimmer: "Where's the cat?". Lister: "He's just, you know, taking care of business....... WE GOTTA STOP HIM!!". *Cat stands up, looking disgusted and walks up to Rimmer and Lister* Cat: "I don't wanna talk about it, okay". I can't wait.

How old are you, and how long have you had your VR6/VR6's?
The Monk replied to VR6Pete's topic in General Chat
Had mine at 21(2007), rebuilt the engine. Moved onto the 2nd at 23. Spent around 6 - 7k repairing both and maintaining them so I couldn't afford any speedy mods . My 2nd VR went to a new home in may of this year. Now I drive a slow derv. -
I was going to pop down on friday afternoon in the derv. Have a butchers at what people were sporting nowadays. It's a damn shame. Weather, commitments, poorly cars and money. Mainly weather I guess. Looking forward to seeing you all at whichever event is next.
