  1. Coilpack has 6 HT plug ports. Does the dizzy have 7?, 6 around the outer edge and 1 in the middle?
  2. Ford dealerships. Cost me £19 2 years ago. VW wanted £89...... or maybe 79. I just know that I could buy 3 from ford for the price of VW's. It's the same crank case breather valve that goes onto the V6 Galaxy. If you go into the dealership, ask them to show you the picture of the part that you're ordering so you can confirm the shape OR take the old, split one in so they also know. Just make sure they allow you to see the part you would be ordering. Goes from the rocker cover casing to the inlet pipe after the MAF sensor.
  3. Just curious, the search engines will not provide any results other than car sales with the tax'd, mot'd ect. Is it around 115 for 6 months 210 for 12? Tar
  4. Jeez, still got to book the room. Bit iffy at the moment about which car will be there. Hope it's the VR.
  5. Where.......... did that come from?, you oddball lol.
  6. Well, I moved the VR out of the garage and onto the flat. Gave it a wash, made sure everything was working. Noticed a few drops of water on the footwell. Figured I'd get the car up to temp and ran the matrix/blower and the windscreen washers individually. I removed the upper and lower glove boxs and found the blower cannister covered in condensation. The main power lead, the single red one plugged into the bottom of the cannister, was quite wet. Anywho, I felt and smelt the water for heat or fragrence...... cold and odorless. Leaked a bit more too. Any ideas?
  7. I know they're there for a reason, but could I block that vac point with a hose and bolt to block it off or does it need some air breath-ability? Cheers bungy, atleast I'm a bigger tool than you lot.... wait a sec... :-#
  8. Hmmm, Craig, old buddy, old pal..... guess what's missing. Remember the plastic intake pipe after the MAF? Guess what's usually attached to that and the VAC side of the upper inlet mani. The Vac hoses that connect to the intake pip AND the manifold immediately after the throttle. Blocked it off with my finger and the engine ran as sweet as a nut.... problem solved.... air leak. I am a tool. Thankyou :$
  9. Well, I'm in the process of trying to get the VR back on the road. The problem was this; Went over a speed bump at around 20mph. Normal average speedbump that most people seem to do 40mph over. Car landed on the otherside. It had stalled itself 1) Car restarted, revved to 2k rpm, back down to around 6 - 500 and sat there trying to stall. A large blip from the throttle bought it back to 3k, then 500 again until it stalled. No idea why. 2) Craig spotted a broken negative wire to the maf plug. 3) Maf plug and wiring properly connected back up today and car still persists in 2k rev start with ju
  10. Potty money sent lol. Stocking up on gas cans at the moment and other camping items
  11. Anyway, need to sort out collecting the MAF plug lol.
  12. Well, the VR6 has been sat doing nothing in the garage since June last year. I had the windows open slightly for a while during the winter and have closed/opened them every o often since then, to air the car. Mt trouble comes in the form of the white, mossy looking mould that's sat on the surface of the seats, steering wheel and some plasticy parts. I just wandered what would be best to clean a cloth interior of this in the best way. Before anyone says upholstery cleaner, any particular brand or is that part of a multi staage cleaning process? Thankyou in advance
  13. My combined in the Passat at the moment driving without the beans, is 51 lol. Still, 60 would be a helluva lot better.
  14. All of mine are still running... apparently. Mk3 1.8GL isn't though.
